So true. The absence of the usual "messing the hair" celebrations at the fall of a wicket by the Aussies was stark.

Very disappointed with our batting last night. It's like we were too proud to dig in with the bat and play for a draw, as if it was beneath Hayden and Co to knuckle down and trim the excesses from their game. In short, we looked rattled, and responded too aggressively when the situation demanded more circumspection. For instance, Hayden looked angry, as distinct from aggressive. As for the Lee and Ponting incident, I think it's important not to make too much of it. These things happen at the top level, in the heat of the moment, when a team is under pressure. For mine, it's hardly a sign that we're imploding.

Obviously public rows aren't ideal, but I presonally want to see a quick who wants to bowl. As the old cliche goes, a captain should have to prise the ball from the bowler's grasp. Why Ponting chose to turn to Hussey before Lee is perhaps harder to explain tho.

Watching Aus 2nd innings. I mean, India should be lucky that we are in this position considering how pathetic our fielding's been!!! Who was the brains behind naming R P Singh as 12th man, when Badri is a far better fielder? And some of the let offs were atrocious, like Sehwag trying to "stamp" on the ball to stop it at the sill mid-off, and RP Singh running after the ball like a millionaire fat ****.

Not to mention the logic of putting the shortest and least athletic Amit Mishra at deep point. Hark. While our bowling coach has been a tremendous success, cant say that of our fielding coach.

Yes, Just watched it again. Struck in the line of off stump. Good decision. Initially I thought it hit outside the line.

I don't think he is 'mentally' fit for Test cricket. I'm not so much talking about mental strength as knowing what to do. In ODI cricket, you can get away with your two lengths and raw pace, but Tait needs to think up a plan for Test cricket, because he currently does not have the stamina with his action to keep up the intensity for a day nor does he seem to know what he is doing.

If that was the case, he wouldn't even be taking grade poles.
