Disagree, Misrah, Sharma and Harby have all shown that there's enough in this pitch if you're good enough. Our batting has been bad - Watto and Hussey in the first dig aside, but our bowling simply hasn't been good enough. Lee's having a crappy tour so far, and perhaps this match will finally stop Clark being so criminally overrated. Johnno has impressed then disappointed in patches. And White has done better than expected, but still not done enough to justify his selection as a bowler. Siddle's done ok for a guy on debut, and might suffer unfairly when Clark comes back and he makes way and is then associated with Australia's worst test defeat in donkey's years. But I can't see Bollinger or any of the other fringe players doing much to revitalise our bowling unless our yawning gap in the spin department is addressed and the Clark-Lee axis gets going again.

At a loss for constructive suggestions as to do anything with the spin department with the cattle available, and we don't have the quicks who will be successful on these types of pitch with a five quick approach IMO.
As i said bowling from India has been good, but still you would back some of the best batsmen in the world to do better than what they did, the application was the serious problem imo, in the first innings they allowed the Indian bowlers to dictate terms by going into their shells, and in the 2nd innings all of them had a collective brain-explosions as evident from their shot-selections, Lee-Watto partnership showed if the batsmen were willing to knuckle down and work for their runs, batting then wasn't that difficult but unfortunately none of the Aussie batsmen showed much patience.

Spin problem has been a big one for Australia and tbf to White he has done all he possibly could within his limitations, but that just isn't proving to be any good especially with the fast bowlers failing the way they are, so Australia need to do some thinking in that regard.

Well, this is Haddin's chance to not only climb out of Gilchrist's shadow, but to move up to legend status himself...

Trying to slog Mishy out of the attack. Good call perhaps, see how he deals with pressure. Maybe he's just getting bored though.

C'mon man do you seriously think these two would last the 100 odd overs.
No, but we've had them under wraps for most of the series so far, wouldn't want them getting someruns under their belt for the next two.

He'll be back for the next series for sure, the way Ponting is bowling Watson into the ground.
As much as i like Watto, all this talk of Ponting bowling him into the ground are almost disrespectful to Watson, if he is playing test cricket for Australia then he would have to put in the hard yards, he won't get any "wrap in cotton-wool" treatment, and he also knows that and he seems to up to this challenge.

Don't think he should be wrapped in cotton wool at all. I just reckon the 'specialists' should be bowling more in the first innings of the match. They're more likely to get the wickets anyway (or should).

Honestly why would I put salt and pepper on my computer if I was going to eat it?

Reckon some tomato sauce with mustard would be better. :lamo:
Yeah use anything that makes it taste better for you, don't forget some Coke to wash it down in the end.

Hell yes, I'm originally from the South as well, Fuzhou.

How do you like it there?
Yeah really nice. People are great, minus the odd typhoon the weather has been fantastic and I have a very easy and comfortable life here.
