That makes no sense whatsoever.Quite possibily one of the worst non-Australian performances I have seen by Australia for a very long time, if not ever?

Well, seeing as I'm commenting on the last half hour, the only part of the Test I've watched, which has entirely consisted of Australia putting men out on the boundary and Peter Siddle bowling woeful slower balls, it's been difficult to see how good the Indians have been.I don't think you are paying India due credit for a fine performance so far in this match.
Its not for a very very long time that I have seen such a defensive attitude from beginning to end by an Aussie side. Ponting shows that clearly his great record as a captain is purely on account of his inheritance.Quite possibily one of the worst non-Australian performances I have seen by Australia for a very long time, if not ever?
It is a tough one, but I don't see how he'd return to the side over Mishra, especially if India turn out to win. However, it must be noted that these are the selectors who 'recalled' Ganguly after his 'drop' for the Irani Trophy. Also, is Kumble's career over? He can't possibly be recalled...
As the spin bowling coach perhaps?Australia really have been extremely ****, though. India would win against most teams if they play like this, but that doesn't change how **** Australia have been.
Also, is Kumble's career over? He can't possibly be recalled...
Tbh Ponting' best chance to gain a level a control in this game could have come from taking a few wickets early on in the game, but from the very begging Ponting has only been interested in saving runs, and its not as if that tactic has either proved to fruitful for him, with even such a defensive field India are scoring at over 4 rpo, so i really don't know what he is doing atm.Exactly what I was thinking
Ponting's only strategy seems to be to place people out on the boundary and hope that someone gives their wicket away
Without being too disrespectful, Gambhir is simply not a good enough player for the fields that have been set and you're better off getting Sehwag out than simply giving him runs
The only possibility is if they decide to drop VVS and play an extra bowler. It is a tough one, but I don't see how he'd return to the side over Mishra, especially if India turn out to win. Ganguly's recall is different issue. He's been the No.2 batsman for the last one year, while Kumble has been the worst bowler. It is a tough one, but I don't see how he'd return to the side over Mishra, especially if India turn out to win. Their bowling was excellent. Their batting was good too, but benefited from very poor Aussie bowling to get them out of a hole.Well, seeing as I'm commenting on the last half hour, the only part of the Test I've watched, which has entirely consisted of Australia putting men out on the boundary and Peter Siddle bowling woeful slower balls, it's been difficult to see how good the Indians have been.
QFT. India's pace bowling here and in Aus has been very, very good.As the spin bowling coach perhaps?
And to give credit where its due, Venky Prasad has done a superb job as the bowling coach. Ever since he took over, India's pace attack is on the ascendance.
Of course, but it shows the faith in 'aged' cricketers.Ganguly's recall is different issue. He's been the No.2 batsman for the last one year, while Kumble has been the worst bowler.
I sincerely hope that that does not happen. The only possibility is if they decide to drop VVS and play an extra bowler.
Infinite credit. I'd really love to hear the ins and outs of what Prasad has exactly done but the effects have been magnificent and far too great to be coincidental. And to give credit where its due, Venky Prasad has done a superb job as the bowling coach. True. Just the first signs of insanity tbf.You posted it!
