I don't expect Zaheer and Harbs to do anything special again tomorrow, but it's hard to see 5 wickets going down for 50-odd runs on this pitch IMO.

well, you don't have to get convinced .... he may not be the best test batsman at the moment [Sehwag is imo] but he is still one of the top 5 test batsmen in the country and even if he is not, his experience is invaluable. and if i am playing one of the 4 seniors then it will be him as he still has the ability to get big knocks like he showed today and in the series in Australia [both tests and ODIs]
i guess, after the series is done, you will probably end up with Tendulkar's avatar

Appears as if Sehwag missed out on a big one .... Good performances by Gambhir, Tendulkar and Ganguly, who is probably playing out of his skin in his last series .... the musical chair phenomena continues with Dravid and Laxman, can't believe that one of Rohit and Badri is sitting out
Nice to see Mishra in the 11. I guess, he will pick up a few wkts [hopefully a bagful] .... the Indian attack looks better now .... and if Ind can add 100 more runs tomm, the game is on

Possibly, but Zak, Bhajji and Mish are all very handy with the bat so to expect all three to fail on this type of wicket might be a tad unrealistic for mine.
Most of it rests on Ganguly and Dhoni obviously.

Reckon Aussie will be looking to play quite aggressively against the tail-enders to insure lightning doesn't strike twice. They won't let them get away with any easy runs this time.

Yeah, fantastically well-disguised googly, gives the ball more air than someone like Kumble, gets the ball to turn both ways and holds line and length very well for a leggie. Looked a clear class above Chawla to me. Haven't seen him play FC cricket though- only one-dayers and T20 matches, so hopefully there's someone else who can help you out more.

As far i am concerned Australia have got out of jail big time today, with the kind of inexperienced bowling line-up that they had, and that too bowling on this concrete of a pitch, i was expecting them get spanked pretty badly, but 311/5 at the end of Day 1 is not bad at all, considering the top 5 batsmen are back in the hut, now tomorrow morning with a relatively new Australia needs to wrap up the Indian lower order quickly, as the Indian tail has been proving to be quite a pain in the arse for Aussies for sometime now ,so Aussies better not take the Indian tail lightly.
As far as the bowling is concerned Johnson was easily the best bowler on display, he bowled with some fire and produced very good pace right through the day, Siddle too was very impressive, his bowling figures might not say that, but he bowled very well, he was pacy, bowled in the right areas and whenever he bowled made his presence felt, Lee started off dreadfully in the morning spell he bowled, but came back strongly in the other spells that he bowled through the day (though i still think he needs to attack the stumps a lot more in Indian conditions then he currently does), White again was impressive after the first test, gave the ball good air, bowled in decent areas, so i hope atleast now Ponting gives him the ball ahead of Clarke.
