My **** boss schedules a 3.30-5.30 meeting on a Friday so I miss the whole session. India batting too, god hope I don't miss the world record when it happens.

Quote from Ponting;

"He's just happened to have a good game as well, which is pretty unusual for him."
The gloves are off. Ricky Ponting responds to Zaheer Khan's comment about the Australians being overly defensive in Bangalore

Haha, Ricky getting narky. He doesn't usually get personal in public and probably wouldn't have had he not scored a ton in the last Test......

Still reckon it's all pretty pointless and only serves to fire the other guy up but it's entertaining if nothing else.
:laugh:

Funny explanation this morning in the Daily Telegraph regarding the supposed reason behind Khan's sniping at the Aussies this time around. Has to do with a sledge in the 2003 World Cup where he went for 60-odd off 7 overs and an Australian player tried to be funny saying "There'll be houses burning in India tonight Zed...and the way you bowled today yours could be one of the first". Needless to say, Zaheer didn't see the funny side.

Fair enough too, that's a dickhead thing to say.

Joking about someone's house being attacked is pretty low but it's a great sledge nonetheless.

It wasn't overly sensitive in nature. Zaheer had apparently gone out of his way to 'take the attack up' to the Aussies and get in their faces only to perform poorly. A less inflammatory retort may have been more appropriate.

Terrible bowling

Half volleys and gifts down the leg side

Unfortunately, I think there's something in the wicket but they're just wasting it
