Yeah, I'm not a ruggers man either, so I don't know the ins and outs of it, any background, or any technicalities in the rules. But I do remember seeing the 'tackle' in question when there was the furore about it, and it was a bit of a ****ish thing to do tstl.

Yeah agree, the tackle was bad but not anything that doesnt happen when playing rugby. Seen the youtube of it? makes it out like he died or something...sheesh, it was a bad tackle and totally illegal but not as bad as what all Britain made it out to be, he landed on the back of his shoulders ffs, Tuquiri on McCaw wass worse, McCaw's neck actually jolts unlike O'Driscall's.

The fact that you can see the 2 AB players actually drive O'Driscoll down makes it pretty shocking afaic. I don't watch any rugby apart from the Wallabies test matches, but to suggest that sort of thing happens regularly seems a pretty far out and ridiculous claim to me.
