Just got home and turned the cricket on... Oh dear.

Good to see the Big Jesse back in the international game. Looks like he made a decent start up top. Shame the middle order went missing.

In other good news, the Aus vs. India test match is also on.

Big wicket for Bangladesh, Vettori's gone.

Oram still looking dangerous though, and Mills comes in now.

Oram is gone for 56. Can we get atleast 200 here is the question? Mills should go for big hits at this point

Got 201! Good target that can be defended...

Southee and Gillespie should be able to get initial breakthroughs

Not watching, but devastated for Mortaza that a catch was dropped so he couldn't pick up 5-for.

Better effort from the Bangladeshi bowlers than expected, Mortaza was excellent and Razzak and Shakib-ul-Hasan miserly in the middle. Disappointed in New Zealand though, McCullum and Ryder will be particularly annoyed at the shots that saw them dismissed. Thank goodness we've got a long batting order, with Southee at ten showing more of his batting potential (even if it surprised the unknowledgable commentators at the time).

It'll be interesting to see how Bangladesh fare with the bat, and how big an influence Vettori will be with the ball. I still think Patel would've been a better selection than Gillespie so I hope he proves me wrong.

Great 50 from Oram, not the first time he's done this.
Obviously its in completely different conditions, but it kind of reminds me of what happened in the first VB Series match in 2001/02 - where we were 7/90 and reached 200 thanks to Vettori combining with Harris, then bowled Australia out for 170-odd. Hoping for a similar outcome anyway.

Maybe, although I'd like to see Mills opening. I think he's the most likely candidate to take early wickets.

Good recovery from the Black caps after being 79/6, but 201 should be good enough for them to defend, but spirited performers from the Bangers nonetheless, just a shame the game is not being televised in India.

Wicket! We really needed that.

Fantastic knock from Mushfiqur though.
