Do you want to see the Aussies lose the series in India ?

Didn't select Heal or Noffke or Bracken on his birthday, dropped Jaques, treated Symo like crap, playing Johnson, playing Krezja, bringing in White.

Go India.

TBF, I look for the "special"ness of winning in India more than I do that of beating Australia. And both are things we have a series giving us the chance of doing coming-up very soon (a chance we have a very low likelihood of taking in either case :().

We'll win a combined total of seven Tests against those two in the coming year tbh

I want them to play well, I would support India but want the better team to win.

Yes, b/c i'm not attached to this team like previous ones. still, i'd like it to be close, ordinary cricket (not the level of talent (or it's waning) like in previous years) and i don't have respect for many of these indians or their cricketing culture so maybe that'll change...

My reasons for wanting Aus to win are pretty simple.

It will make the 2009 Ashes victory sweeter. It would also keep India in the chasing pack rather than gain seperation over England.

Also doesnt hurt that I have a great deal more admiration for Aus cricket than Indian cricket. Its also not as if India will be short of support either.

For some reason I want Australia to belt India. Think the primary reason for me feeling like that comes down to my own personal takes on each of the respective selection policies. Sure Australian selectors have been under fire lately because of one position(spinner) - but it is well documented that they have jack **** proven spinners to pick from atm. But they always look to put their very best XI on the park. Whereas Indian selection policies seem consistently bemusing and, dare I say it, often bias

Although there's little doubt zonal politics impacts on Indian national selection far more often than it should do (which is, of course, never), Australia have had as many poor selections as anyone else purely on the basis of inept judgement of skill.

On what do you base that statement?

I cant imagine the coincidence that all are equally bad and (despite mistakes) Aus always seem better than most.

Australia have been better than most the last 20 years because they've had better players. Their selectors have still made any number of basic errors. A few pertaining purely to Tests (as with other countries, the ODI list is too long to even start on) in the last decade or so:
Jaques apparantly being about to be dropped after averaging 50.37 in his last 16 innings';
Beau Casson and Jason Krejza getting anywhere near Test squads never mind teams (if there is just 1 spinner of First-Class standard in the country, only 1 spinner should even be in Test contention);
Daniel Cullen playing for Australia, even if it was only against Bangladesh;
The whole Damien Martyn affair in 2005/06 (dropped when he shouldn't have been, recalled when he shouldn't have been);
Tait touring England in 2005 to gain experience and ending-up in the Test team when patently not good enough;
Brad Hodge's treatment;
Hauritz playing ahead of MacGill in India in 2004/05;
Watson replacing Lehmann in 2004/05 (Watson's subsequent selection in 2005/06 was fair enough);
Symonds' unjustifiable preference to Katich in 2003/04;
Bracken, Williams and Lee playing ahead of Kasprowicz at home in 2003/04;
Martin Love scoring a century in his last Test innings in 2003 and never playing again;
Gavin Robertson and Peter McIntyre playing Test cricket at all;
Adam Dale and Paul Wilson being preferred to Damien Fleming in 1997/98;
Simon Cook playing Test cricket when he was barely able to get into his state team;
Brendon Julien playing Test cricket at all.

Australia's selectors may have got some basic things right - but then again so has any set of selectors, even Pakistan's. For a side that has had such a wealth of quality in recent years, some of the selectorial errors have been very poor indeed.

Yeah.. I have no love for India or their cricket, but it would be nice to see the Aussies cop a pummeling before they play SA.. Particularly hoping their spinners get a mauling
Haha, the whole country? A bit harsh.

Yes, I want to see them lose, but it's not limited to India. I would want to see them lose to everyone, not because I particularly dislike them, but because I think serious competition is good for cricket (I don't want anyone to become an absolute powerhouse, India included - best team in the world - yes, but not unbeatable).

I think India being incredibly hard to beat in home Test series' is great for cricket personally.

No - I don't want to see Australia lose - way too much feeling between these teams. Would love to see us go through unbeaten.

Can't see it happening though.

hhaha dont fool yourself mate. you played one test under your new captain and new team and lost the series against a below par protea team. maybe win a few matches before talking bout an ashes clean sweep? and also lets see england do well in india first and then we can gauge them for the ashes.
