So in a way this means Siddle is ahead of Bollinger in the pecking order, if you ask me that's an even bigger joke.****ing joke Bollinger doesn't get a game. Johnson the luckiest guy around (apart from Krejza).
Johnson is unlikely to have figures better than that himself though, tbh.But even if he is crap, do you really think he would do worse than a spinner? I am willing to lay my avatar for a month that if Krejza plays at least two tests, he will average worse than 40 and go for more than 3 an over.
I think you'll find that Jaques was left out of the first game with back spasms and hasnt recovered. There is no news of Jaques being injured anywhere, he just seems to have not been picked, same goes with Bollinger, and as Clapo pointed out Watson isn't injured he's just down with a viral, and apparently he is being kept away in isolation in his hotel room away from the team so that the viral doesn't spread among other members of the team.
Indeed. I wouldn't take much from the selection in this match, as I highly doubt Siddle would be ahead of Bollinger in the pecking order..To be fair, Bollinger has played in India quite a lot of late so should be acclimatised
All of the other guys are desperately short of match practice
Read an article. Can't remember where, where the selectors have said they've been pleased with his attitude since Darwin in turning out for club cricket and playing for the Bulls (including captaining one game) and that given this he would be the first player called up if there were injuries. Heard this sort of thing before, and they've done something else, but do remember reading it somewhere. Why would they have Symonds as a shadow player when a few weeks ago they felt he needed some time off to get his head straight and before he plays for Australia again, what has changed so dramatically with Symonds in a few weeks for the Aussies selectors to change their mind on this issue.
It'd really complicate selection, though. If he was on tour from the start, he'd be rightfully in the starting eleven. But if he joins the squad due to injury, does he automatically reclaim his place or get back in line?Read an article. Given his form this week. In line. It'd really complicate selection, though. If he was on tour from the start, he'd be rightfully in the starting eleven. But if he joins the squad due to injury, does he automatically reclaim his place or get back in line?
Would be good for him if he does that, because its about time he starts showing some merit for the kind of backing he has been getting.Johnners to make the breakthrough (y)
Please do so, or add me on MSn - leagueandcars@hotmail.com.I've got a live stream of the tour match, but I don't know if I'm allowed to post it...
He has been crap so far, his lines and lengths have been all over the place.Stuart Clark 0/26 off 5.
Haha, AWTA.Haha, never seen so much interest in a tour match.
Were you expecting something else mate?!Johnson no ball first ball and hit for 4 in first over.
Both Sehwag and Gambhir have done well in the recent SL series, so frankly speaking there was hardly an opening for Chopra to break through.Hopefully Chopra makes some runs, to act as a big f*** off to the selectors and to put some pressure on our top order to make some runs as he's breathing down their necks.
