Ok, thats better. J or Jay is better than Jah. Which sounds the ponciest thing ever. That isn't as in "Jaa" but "Jay". As in Jay-Zee.

Geniunly cracking up over idea of people being called Jah.Ok, thats better. J or Jay is better than Jah. Which sounds the ponciest thing ever.
Two Frenchies, one Dane, one Irishman, two Saffies, one German, one fattie, two erratics and one West Indian.
Looks like the squad has been selected using the quota system.
Have you seen him try to play one day cricket? It is painful and at 26 you wonder why he hasn't developed that side of his game especially as he plays out in Australia in the winter.Im really suprised at Paul Horton being left out.
After all this levity a grave and weighty matter has been brought to my attention
Between 1895 and 1909 the means of point scoring in the County Championship was one point counted for each win;one deducted for each loss;unfinished games ignored. Championship decided by the greatest proportionate number of points in finished games.
This is by far the best means of addressing matters as I am sure all CW members will agree
So I can hereby announce that under these proper rules Lancashire did not, in fact, flirt with relegation but did win the County Championship.
Congratulations to Mr Law, his happy band of team-mates (particularly the ultra-happy Mr Cork)and .as ever, the wonderful Old Trafford committee.
Thought that was the smiley for a second then TBH, couldn't fathom what was going-on.

But his name is Jim.Seems to me he has - Jamie.
Why then does every cricket site of note list him as "Jamie"?But his name is Jim.
But he goes by Jim.Why then does every cricket site of note list him as "Jamie"?
The most reliable of the lot - CricketArchive - has him as Jamie Oliver Troughton.
Then I won't be any longer... I loved CW because I could have discussions here about cricket that I could never have with people around me, but it's just become too much of a struggle to get through so much of the petty, idiosyncratic posting, which just blurs the (for the most part) sensible discussion. I have ignored for long enough, but there comes a point where it is time to call it a day.If you'd prefer not to be associated with things like this then frankly it'd be best for everyone concerned if you weren't. How on Earth anyone can possibly be in the slightest bothered about any of it is beyond me.
You really were one of the last I'd associate with toys-out-of-the-cot-ism. I truly am flabbergasted. Then I won't be any longer... Yep, because he's called Jamie, not James.Yeah and if you search cricinfo for James Troughton his profile link doesnt appear. It is listed under Jim Troughton.
It really is odd. If it was anyone but me I doubt anyone (especially Neil Pickup) would've said a thing.Note to self, what am I doing getting involved with this? I must have better things to do with my time
