They spent (wasted) half of it on Pavlyuchenko... The club has made some shocking signings this summer. Bentley was ridiculously overpriced; Luka Modric isn't anything to tell your mum about particularly when it costs over 15 million, Dos Santos if he was really any good would still be at Barca, likewise Fraizer Campbell and Pavlyuchenko's signing just seemed desperate after they failed to get Andrei Arshavin. Why didn't Tottenham sell Berbatov earlier and brought in some replacements? I'm sure there are a couple of decent strikers they could of picked up with the money they were always going to get for Berbatov (They were always going to get at least £25m for him) or some players in the midfield, or where ever they needed new players.
What are the odds ATM for Juande Ramos to get the arse?
They did. Was dubiously disallowed, however.'sif you couldn't score a goal against stoke.
Ha, sounds surreal. Will keep eye out for it. Scored against Watford tho, so almost certainly legit. Not as bad as the goal that was dubiously allowed in the Watford vs Reading game.
'Stephen Hunt whipped in a corner which was contested by Noel Hunt and Eustace at the near post.
The ball bounced over the line - four yards wide of the goal - before being hooked back into play by Noel Hunt.
Reading's Andre Bikey headed back towards goal, where keeper Scott Loach made a save, but the linesman had already flagged - for a goal.
And referee Stuart Attwell gave the goal to total bemusement around the stadium.'
Then I guess Comolli will have a lot of questions to answer to. Never seen the point in a Director of football/sport rule. A manager should be allowed to go for players that he wants, not want some cheese eating surrender monkey wantsThey spent (wasted) half of it on Pavlyuchenko... Although in defense of Ramos there are all practically Damien Comolli signings.
****in fuming. Internet wouldn't work last night so you were all spared a drunk rant. When it was 2-1 I felt we owned them but in the end I guess we were lucky to hold on for a draw. In other news, Greenacre scored both of our goalsTypical Liverpool, can't beat the 'gimmie' clubs.
Tranmere blew a 2-0 lead to finish 2-2, can't imagine Corrin will be too happy.
Exeter 2-2 Notts County, Exeter fan i'm friends with is just happy to get a point against anyone so far this season.
Mansfield 1-1 Cambridge Utd, happy enough with this, Cambridge still a decent side.
I don't think it was. The bloke who looked like heading it in front of the keeper (looked like Torres, not sure, only watched it once) was offside on first watching, and there is no doubt he was interfering with play. They did. Was dubiously disallowed, however.

It's a compelling comeback, it must be said.
4 games into the season mate, I'm not going to make any judgements as of yet. When you've made as many personnel changes as we have over the summer, they can't all click from day one. But yes, Modric is crap, Dos Santos is crap otherwise he'd be at a top 4 club, we only got Pav because we couldn't get Arshavin despite them being two compeltely different players etc. etc. They spent (wasted) half of it on Pavlyuchenko... Money isn't an issue for Spurs. If we could have got another good striker over the summer we would have.Craig said:Why didn't Tottenham sell Berbatov earlier and brought in some replacements? Aye, Moutinho at all of 5'7 and 11 stone will provide it...You should be after a hardnut midfielder like Veloso or Moutinho.
Yeah was terrible wording. What I meant was someone who can control the tempo of the midfield and run the show properly.Aye, Moutinho at all of 5'7 and 11 stone will provide it...
