I haven't seen the second half, but from all accounts we were **** then so kindly explain why there was such a disparity between our performances in the two halves?
Oh I get it because Carrick was missing... Man U really missed his incisive passing and strong tackling in the midfield in the second half I thought. I noticed as soon as he went off to be replaced by that poor player, Ryan Giggs, the players heads dropped immediately. God forbid if he is out for sometime because then Man U season would be over.

Hey,

Just wanted to say the Liverpool FC are my favourite club.
I'm a Yank who likes the Limey game of football.

I hope they win the premiership this year.

Both Vidic and Terry out of the Chelsea-United game now - could be a good match for strikers.
Alex is arguably a better defender than Terry, so I'm not so sure that it's such a huge blow to Chelsea but the loss of Vidic is huge. Although, it was a 'typical' thing for a Serbian player to do once his side is beaten to get sent off.

Should be a cracking game next week, Chelsea have looked fairly imperious so far.

I'd have shown a straight red for the tackle on Jo myself. Terry one was definitely a red for mine, traditionally attempted rugby tackles haven't gone down too well.

Yeah AWTA, couldn't really understand why the pundits on MoTD said it was a bit dubious tbh, laughed at the fact Lampard said it wasn't a "professional foul" because there were other players nearby, pretty sure a rugby tackle style challenge can be construed as a professional foul regardless of how many other people are around tbh. Vidic probably should have been given a straight red as well really, but glad he wasn't, as he is in my fantasy team.

Tbf Giggs, whilst a legend, isn't anything like what he was (and I hear he was poor yesterday too actually, although Giggs is pretty irrelevant in this debate).

I hear that second half our midfield couldn't get hold of the ball, frankly if anyone didn't see Carrick on MotD in the first half they weren't watching very closely.

And yes, it would be a blow if he's out for a while, he is a vital cog.

Despite the fact that he doesn't have the same capacity to slip at vital moments... no he isn't.

Frankly people are under-rating Brown here as well, Barcelona last year suggests that Ferdinand and Brown as a partnership is not at all a poor one, our problem position looks like being right back to me.

Then why not buy a young full back and groom in that role when Gary Neville is meant to come back from his various injuries.

Nah, they've clearly recognised the need to show the return from Injury for the best player in the League (Cahill, ftr) :D

Sky have surely made some mistake, Stoke v Everton seems to be on my telly screen:yawn:
Yeah terrible choice of game and funny enough it’s been terrible but when your TV has nothing but Moon Festival ****e on (I’ll rather eat Moon Cake) or Pirates of the Caribbean dubbed into Mandarin (subtitled in Cantonese), than your watch any kind of football even when it’s streamed in piss poor quality.

As for the game itself, cool finish by Yakubu and Stoke look already down. Ten men behind the ball at home is quite a sad sight. At least go down with some fight not with the midfield packed with absolute filth, Rory Delap and brick**** houses who look more like more heavyweight boxers than footballers.

Nearly scored a blinder and when compared to the rest of the team's performance he was hardly that bad. In regard to Carrick, Alex Ferguson didn't seem to be too taken by his performance for according to him only Rio had a game worth writing home about.

Terry is turning slower than the QE2 at the moment and has looked pretty poor for the past six months. Alex in contrast has been excellent and nigh on faultess when given the opporuntity to play. I don't think many Chelsea fans will be losing too much sleep now that JT is out.

Just to keep you all updated - Greenacre started yesterday. Looks like Ronnie Moore has heard what I'm saying.

Agree with you on Terry, guys fast (or should that be slow) becoming a liability for England and Chelsea. Any top forward with pace exposes him imho. Will be interesting to see Walcott running at him when Chelsea play the Arse.

Was hoping that Everton weren't going to concede so that I would get fantasy leage points for a clean sheet tbh, but from what I hear Arteta should be credited with the assist for one of Evertons goals...so good news there.

hmm, typical a match that looked a stinker turns out blinding (shame I was at LiDLs for much of it) , and I imagine Clapo is quite pleased now.
