Naaah.Anyone else watching this, btw?
Word out the best side & i feel deep down Capello knows this the best side as well given he did play it vs France in the recent friendly when all where available & they looked very encouraging in the brief 45 minutes they played for. Although the RB role is still wide open with Johnson/Brown/Neville/Richards & Carrick/Barry, would probably start with Barry given he add a nice balance to the mid-field given he is a left-footer & slightly stronger defensively than Carrick ATM.As I see it Englan's best XI is probably this:
James
Johnson Ferdinand Terry Cole
Hargreaves Carrick
Gerrard
Rooney Cole
Owen
With Gerrard, Cole and Rooney interchanging.
Wash your mouth out with soap. Then again, I don't think Carrick should play full-stop.
Although he has gone missing most of the time, it is also a fact that given his versatility he has been sacrificed to accomodate other players which hasn't helped. The 5 times he claims he has played in an advanced attacking role be it competitive international of friendly from my memory:England role frustrates Gerrard

You know what frustrates me? A mediocre technically **** player hyped up beyond belief showing England is a relatively minor thing to him and complaining about not getting his favourite position when he's been piss poor most of his England career.
Good point actually. But unlike United, with ENG who seem to never able take control of the mid-field still reliant of a Becks free-kick for 80% of our goals, he should always be in the centre of the park.Wash your mouth out with soap.
FWIW I think Hargreaves is actually England's best option on the right, but of course he won't be played there, if at all.
No 4 games where he played in the role he has been playing for Liverpool recently & pretty much all his career plus a few other times as well. I am not denying Gerrard has been awful for most of his career, but i definately acknowledge his complaint. So you could only find 4 games where he was any good then to fit in with Gerrard's excuses.
Well it's clearly not, Rooney's in it.Word out the best side
