You know what frustrates me? A mediocre technically **** player hyped up beyond belief showing England is a relatively minor thing to him and complaining about not getting his favourite position when he's been piss poor most of his England career.
It's funny how he's lobbying to get the kind of partner he wants. Pathetic.

Gerrard should probably STFU but I am very doubtful there is a better English central midfielder, as such, yeah, play him in centre mid

Masters finals tonight, all my mates are there and all I can hear is Tranmere songs! Good lads, all pissed off their heads no doubt as I heard they were meeting in "The Brom" at 1. A bit jealous but I think I'll save my pennies for proper games!

As I see it Englan's best XI is probably this:

James

Johnson Ferdinand Terry Cole

Hargreaves Carrick

Gerrard

Rooney Cole

Owen

With Gerrard, Cole and Rooney interchanging.

Prefer Joe Cole out wide though. Would be interesting to see how that went, mind.
Joe Cole doesn't stay out wide and there's no point playing him there.

You want him getting in the box or in other attacking areas - that's where he scores goals and creates things, rarely is it from out wide. There's nothing about the guy that says 'wide player'.

Except that he's played out there by pretty much every manager.

Yep and everytime he ends up coming infield as much as possible and pretty much ignoring where he's supposed to play.

He hardly ever gets crosses in, on the rare occasion he's out wide he cuts inside where 3-4 defenders are waiting.

Whites level, the masters side is better than the shower that went down to Oldham yesterday
