That runout sums up the fact that SA's minds were on the plane a month ago - they've been woeful since they wrapped up the test series

The introduction of the second-string bowlers will be a key time though - they'll look to regroup against Patel, Collingwood and Wright. Not done and dusted yet.

Nah, they had the First ODI under control for most of its time, just threw it away several times.

The tour was barely 5 weeks old when the Test series was won.

Nah, if they were say 110 for 2 you might be able to suggest that, but this is an impossible position even if you are facing part-time bowlers.

Yep. To ask them to rebuild the innings from here would be a tough task. But they also have to increase the run rate at the same time or they'll just fall behind the run rate far too much. Very hard ask, especially when you consider only 10 overs need to be bowled by 'part-time' bowlers. The rest will be from proper bowlers who are also bowling pretty well right now.

Game over. No way the remaining SA batsmen will score at such a high rate for as long as they need to. Well played England! Dont think anyone expected us to be 3-0 up after 3 games.

What's wrong with South Africa, they have been poor through this series and that's putting it mildly, even in a must win game like this the intent seems to be missing from the South African unit, they are playing Patel as if he was Bishan Bedi, England have played well, but the proteas have been equally woeful, i mean just while looking at this game one gets a feeling they are just content with batting out the 50 overs after being wrapped up in quick-time in the last game.
EDIT: As i type this Morkel blasts Patel out of the park for a six, make that 2 sixes now!!

Hmm wonder if Flintoff will get a chance to bowl at Morne Morkel...

Could be one of the rare interesting bits of this game left.

Very good catch there by Patel I thought - just managed to get his hand underneath it. 33 overs gone, and they're not halfway to the target yet. At this rate they might not get within 100.

SA should be able to chase this down easily. Whether they do is an entirely different matter. Especially with Hashim Amla in the side. Let's hope he does a Dippenaar.
Yup, cruising it. Amla the only man to pass 20, clearly to blame.

Comedy dismissals ftw.
