Hey Uppercut, just as an aside do you support any of the Test sides at all? Obviously your cricket team is Ireland, and from your avatar we can see that like me you're a big Freddie Flintoff fan
Haha, i don't actually, I support different teams at different times depending on their players, who's the underdog, bets i put on, and sometimes for no discernable reason at all. Sometimes listening to David Lloyd and Nasser Hussain makes me want England to lose, likewise Ian Healy and Australia- although I always support Australia in the Ashes, because when England win we never hear the end of it over here

At the moment, I'm a bit indifferent about this ODI series- although I'd love to see Herschelle Gibbs get going. In the tests, I had a pretty big bet on SA for the series so you may have detected an anti-English tone around then :p. But the England team is a lot more likeable when Jones, Flintoff and Hoggard play. I'm not a big fan of India lately (Sehwag aside).

In football I'm much more explicitly anti-English because the fans and media are so unbearable at times. I'm moving to Manchester in three weeks so god forbid the England team starts playing well

And yet another unconverted 50 for Bell - he just cannot manufacture runs when the bowling isn't rubbish. Sure he can attack/punish bad bowling well.

Kallis gets Shah dragged-on with his opening delivery. Easy this captaincy lark.
I wonder how many chances he'll get at number 3 with Bopara waiting in the wings. Crap dismissal tbh.

I meant to say earlier that Bell going wasn't the worst thing for England, giving KP the chance to build an innings. Sod's law says he'll fall for single figures today.

Last time Shah got out around this time in the first ODI, I got the feeling Pietersen had instructed him to hit out because he wanted Flintoff at the crease. No signs of that this time?

Great stuff by the Saffies. Bring it back, bring it back....
Probably lose it again later, this is shades of India at the same ground last year. Kallis has gone nicely with the in-drifters.

If you recall, we've had this discussion before. Hall > Kemp.

Disappointed that van der Wath never played more games for South Africa, I think he could of been a really good player (better than Kemp).
Nah, van der Wath was very, very poor. And Hall was a nothing player too. Kemp could bat and did several times.

Botha gets another.

Patel finally gets a bat in his 3rd ODI! Is that the longest wait for a specialist bat ever I wonder?
