Is he still there?Andy Van Der Meyde was a big signing
If only it were that simple! Getting past Pompey in the Cup would almost certainly have meant we would have won the trophy, given how the rest of the draw panned out - but those extra games we had to play in that competition would have put a strain on us which may well have meant we lost something in the Premiership and CL, and given how narrowly we won both big ones in the end that could have tipped the balance against us.Deep down I'm still a bit bitter about the FA Cup. Get past sodding Portsmouth and another Treble would have been there for the taking. Still, that's football.
Can't have everything I suppose.
Yeah, despite being a total flop he still seems to be on the books. Heard his personal life is well and truly messed up though. Apparently he has a major alcohol problem and he is in a terrible state. Is he still there?
Dutch players and Inter Milan are not a healthy mix (unlike at AC Milan). For example I was reading in an edition of Calcio Italia earlier this year in tribute to Inter's 100th birthday, and they had the best and worst XI's, Dennis Berkgamp made the worst XI but was such a legend at Arsenal.
It would have been us and three Championship sides though - think we could probably have won it with few problems just playing our reserves. If only it were that simple! Haha fair enough mate - I still watch the footage of Ronaldo getting flattened in the box and find myself shouting at the ref!It would have been us and three Championship sides though - think we could probably have won it with few problems just playing our reserves.
Don't want to sound unhappy, as obviously I wasn't unhappy with last season, and I also think it was good for the competition that Portsmouth won it. I'm just moderately bitter about that one game, when probably I shouldn't be.
Some team's going to have to play a blinder to manage to get themselves relegated this year.City 17 points of relegation.
Good start, TBH.
Did he say that, though? Can't find anywhere in the interview that says "one more year" to do with it unless you take his Sporting comments out of context entirely.Careful to add the "one more year" bit in though.
Hope the ***** get relegated itbtMoving on to other matters, Everton's lack of signings really worries me. How many more European finishes do we need to achieve before we get looked at as a viable option to players? Ridiculous.
Just like you lot did in 1961? Yeah, okay.Hope the ***** get relegated itbt
It's always in the address bar of your browser, for future reference. (y)TBH I don't have a link and couldn't bother searching for one. It's a copy and paste job.
Fair dos, his quotes have been taken out of context all summer. I just read the bit where it said "at least one year", didn't look to see whether it was an actual quote and closed the window.Did he say that, though? Umm.....copy and paste from another forum. No link was put by the person. It's always in the address bar of your browser, for future reference. (y)
