Did you play for an English county whose name starts with a letter in the first half of the alphabet?

Hint # 1 : I once got the wickets of Trumper, Gregory, Joe Darling and Warwick Armstrong in the same innings !!

Well George Beldam satisfies the hint and most of the other clues if you take London County as a county rather than Middlesex so thats the best I can offer

No he doesn't and I am far from convinced about some of the others - I am clutching at straws a bit but there is some controversy (well debate) about the status of some of London County's matches so I am relying on that

I don't think he fits with the clue of his batting average being 0.11 lower than WG.
George Beldam is correct.

Here is how.

For five consecutive first class seasons (1903 to 1907)
- I scored more runs than WG - 1058 against 465, 1082 against 445, 599 against 349, 580 against 241 and 402 against 19
- at a better average than WG - 30.25 against 23.2
- scored many more hundreds - 6 against 2
- had more fifty plus scores - 20 against 9
- got many more wickets than him - 103 against 51
- at a much lower average - someone please check :)

In fact even if you take my entire career, my batting average is lower than WG's by just 0.11 !! - For the same period Grace averages 30.13 and my average is 30.02.

I have an interesting one, so I hope you guys dont mind my going ahead with another.

I stumped two Australian batsmen in two consecutive overs, the last time I kept wickets in a first class game. I have every reason to believe that I might be the only one to have ever done that.
