Yes AWTA in a big way, Arguably Jericho is currently the most over (as a heel) he has ever been in his life. And all this without really winning any matches barring the one at GAB. Imagine what it could be like if they keep it up for a few more months without burying him, a mouth watering prospect imo. And like you say (though I really know better than to get my hopes up) it actually looks like he could be in the line for a world title run....fingers crossed. (bet he gets a shot at Summerslam and loses tbh)

And yeah, Cena vs Batista would be better if there was more momentum going into the match really, best way for this to have gone last night imo would to have been the segment ending with them being all pally rather than descending into an argument/brawl. Still, imagine this will still actually be ok.
Well, Raw is Jericho

Here's an interesting little bit of news today. The new Kurt Angle documentary has just been uploaded online and this link features the very first episode of what will be a new series highlighting Kurt's life, move to TNA and his thoughts on various topics such as Vince McMahon and WWE.

The first episode is actually really good and I thought a lot of Kurt Angle fans and the fans on this thread would appreciate this. Would like to hear some of thoughts on here regarding this new show.

will watch the Angle docu later on when I get home, sounds decent.

Rumoured that the Cena vs Batista match at Summerslam will be changed to a 5 man match for the WHC involving Kane, JBL and Punk.

Also with HBK on RAW next week it looks as if Jericho will face him again at Summerslam (which is shaping up to be a really good event imo - if it was HHH vs MVP rather than Khali it would be truly awesome alround), just hope he wins this one as well, would put him over HUUUUGE.

Nah there's no way in hell they'll put Jericho over HBK after the beat down he gave him, was disappointed when I heard HBK was coming back this soon.

Also yeah saw that documentary yesterday, was funny how much of an asshole Kurt is. Seems like he means well but is just an idiot, I loved it

Would have prefered MVP over Khali but it probably is a bit too early for MVP to push for a title run. I probably wouldn't mind a Khali win given HHH's circumstances off air, but there aren't any real capable faces on Smackdown right now to pair him with straight after which means we could see another round of Khali v Taker or Big Show. The only other face I see in the frame is Jeff Hardy and that would be a trainwreck of a feud on the mic and in the ring. Kennedy is a possibility but they seem to want him to feud with Shelton.

Hope to watch that Angle stuff later too.

A five-man match at SummerSlam? Interesting, where did you read that? Wouldn't be too surprised if Orton returns as a "surprise" 6th entrant or something, too. Punk vs Orton would be a great feud to kick off after SummerSlam, seeing as Punk needs to win to cement his place as champ, and Orton was performing brilliantly before his injury.

Just read it on a wrestling news site, usually seems to be fairly near the mark with predictions like that, so it'll be interesting to see how this one turns out.

Tomko released by TNA, interesting move, and a bit of a shame really, always thought he did a pretty decent job on most counts, maybe we can expect to see him back in the WWE in the future, though tbh, the only reason he was any good in the E was because he got carried along by all the heat generated by Christian...

Looks interesting, I already knew about Vince not carign about his wrestlers and making them work through some horrific injuries and all that but some of the other stuff could be good. Really hope it's not going to be an "At home with the Angle's" type of thing though.

You know when these episodes will be aired and where we can watch them?

Smackdown was absolutely awesome this week. Fantastic matches, logical booking and storylines made this show really good. The second R-Truth promo was fantastic and you can tell he's going to be a big deal when he debuts.

But that Edge and Mick Foley promo at the end of the show was quite possibly the best WWE promo I've seen in years. That segment was absolute gold. Hats off to Foley, Edge and the creative team for that segment and Summerslam is shaping up to be one hell of a good show.

Have no idea where we'll be able to pick them up or watch them, but I assume for us the internet would be the best place to look once they start broadcasting.

It seemed more interesting than just a "At home with the Angle's" type of show. Apparently during Wrestlemania week when WWE were based entirely in Orlando, Angle confronted several WWE guys and filmed their reactions for his show. Should be interesting stuff once it's released.

Yep, very good show I thought too. The Foley-Edge interactions were absolutely killer and it's obvious to anyone that the Taker v Edge match is the one which will sell Summerslam, just compare the build for this to the build for Cena v Batista(which is meant to be last big dream match they have available to them). Edge has been the franchise player for the WWE for a long long time now I hope he gets a big win here but they'll probably feel Taker needs the win so that he can go strong and straight into a title feud against a heel Khali maybe?

Also have to say JR makes such a difference to a show. Him and Foley on commentary put people over so well and make a match seem so much more important to a fan. Point in case was how well he put over Khali and listening to them actually makes you want to see him go up against Triple H despite knowing that it'll probably be a trainwreck of a match.

My gripe with the current booking however is that we're now going into a PPV where both title matches are secondary to grudge matches. Really does de-value the importance of holding the strap for mine and I think they really need to concentrate on making the gold seem like the #1 priority. Especially on RAW, Punk's reign is starting to mirror Benoit's where even though he held the strap and worked his ass off for them week in week out he had HHH and Michaels stealing his thunder and being in the ME. They have to rectify this and put him over strong and convincing at SS.

yeah, I was thinking this earlier today actually, Bad Blood 2004 springs to mind, Benoit and Kane putting on a solid match for the title, then HHH and HBK stinking out the place with a poor HIAC which seemed to go on forever.

At least Punk doesn't have Triple H to contend with on RAW these days. Besides, I bet the Cena-Batista match doesn't happen at SS anyway. Surely they're not dumb enough to pull the trigger before WMXXV.

Don't see all the hype about Cena v Batista tbh i just can't see it being any good
It won't be any good, probably. Cena will work his ass off and Batista will probably be fairly motivated, but it's still likely to be poor. However, what it will be is a massively hyped match that will make millions and millions of dollars. Not everything's about the quality of the match, otherwise WWE would be ROH.

You mean ROH would be the WWE. :p
