Howz the intrest for upcoming tournaments in Ireland? How are the ticket sales?
Couldn't tell you about ticket sales, but the interest is the same as usual, there is none.

But then that doesn't mean anything, I mean San Marino have few footballers yet are still allowed to be drawn with Germany in the Euro qualifiers.

It's not Eurocentric though, It's about Ireland and Scotland to a lesser extent but not the Dutch or Danish. Kenya and Namibia are in a similar boat but the writer lives and works in Europe so he knows about that and not Kenya. Also Kenya don't have the problem of counties poaching players, which is what it's all about.
True though I do feel his argument wouyld have had more substance if he looked the effects of player poaching on the quality of the competitions in which associate teams compete exclusively against one another, e.g the Interconinental cup and and how the unavailability of the most recognisable faces from county cricket and so forth means these tournaments are a much tougher sell, therefore underminig the income these competitions could generate outside direct funding from the ICC. That is a problem that cuts across all HPP countries not just the Europe based ones. I feel the only reason right now that Kenya and Namibia have little trouble with their players being poached is because hardly any of them can get into the County championship anyway.

And again the lives in one place therefore knows nothing about anywhere else line is a rather poor excuse to not at least attempt to do some digging.

Nah it's okay to write an article about cricket in Scotland and Ireland without referring to other minor cricketing countries. When I write a history essay on 19th century Ireland I don't research whether there were similarities with the political situation in Chad.

Any pewdictions before the start of the tournaments? ACC Elite Trophy & European Championship Div 1?

Kool Bro, Any runner ups?
Scotland are the Obvious runner-up in Europe, could make an upset and win it though, but I think Ireland and Scotland are safe bets for first and second.

Afghanistan is the bet I'd place on runner up in Asia. I think UAE are Safe winners.

Yesterday's results would perhaps be nice.

UAE (217/7, 47.1) beat Afghanistan (214, 48.1) by three wickets - decent quality match by the sounds of things, though Afghans ended with 41/7 in the last 10 overs, battrick-esque. Only about 40 extras in the whole game too.
Kuwait (238/9, 44.5) beat Singapore (237/8, 50) by one wicket
Bahrain (335, 49.2) beat Saudi Arabia (137, 33.1) by 198 runs - self destruction. What will happen in Bahrain vs UAE
Nepal (172, 37.3) beat Qatar (171, 47.2) by seven wickets

So points

Group A
Bahrain 1-1 +1.64
Malaysia 1-0 +0.66

Top two qualify for semis. At least 3 of Bahrain, Qatar, Malaysia, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia qualify for World Cricket League divisions seven and eight.
