Bowlers usually are quite good at playing tail end bowling as they dish out the same and they get more of it than other players. It's when they are faced with bowling that a top order batsman gets that they get out.

When Ponting got his first duck, if IIRC he followed it up with a pair in his next test, which was his next two innings. However, I could be wrong.
