Interesting....WWE have suggested on their website that Kane ranting about someone being dead may be about Paul Bearer....maybe a storyline in the works? could be interesting..

Hmm, interesting. I doubt Paul Bearer's involved - he's had lots of health problems in recent years and I doubt he'd be willing to come back, especially seeing as he turned down an offer to appear on the RAW Anniversary Show in December - but it's good that they at least referenced him.

My bet is that either 'Taker's returning to RAW (which I would be gutted by, need him on SD for November), or more likely, something to do with the current Mr. McMahon angle.

Would be cool to see them use Kane well for a change, fingers crossed.
Indeed. Monster Kane has always been better than "I only like hurting unpopular people" Kane. Plus, he's been jobbing for about two years now, ever since he put Umaga over and left RAW.

Rumours abounding that 'Taker will be returning with the American Badass gimmick, or at least a gimmick that'll allow him to talk a little more - the planned HBK vs 'Taker showdown at WMXXV needs to be billed as it is - Texan vs Texan in Texas, and 'Taker's other gimmick will allow them to do that. Will mark out if he comes out to Rollin' again, TBH.

I hadn't thought about this tbh, actually quite excited by the idea of it though, his return on the bike last time round was awesome, even if the match ending between the rock and HHH ended up being slightly botched. One feels though, that if he does return with this gimmick, he'll be heading straight for RAW.

Would be over the moon if he came back as the American Badass, love that gimmick and love being able to have Taker on the mic. Would set him up nicely for a retirement angle too, have some young main eventer like Cena/Orton/Kennedy whatever having his number telling everyone he is too old and past it and he's not got it anymore, only for him to return as the deadman and decimate them before being put to rest.

Would love that as a retirement angle, TBH. Whole reason I was so keen to get to a SmackDown show is to see my favourite wrestler of all time before he retired, so if he's not on SD this time, I hope he at least sticks around until I can get tickets to a RAW show.

I think he'll be one of those guys who doesn't strictly "retire" for a while yet, but comes back for the odd match now and again to put someone over - HBK will probably do that, too. I don't think either of them will be able to get wrestling out of their system until their bodies won't allow it any more.

Read SD! spoilers and ugh Edge and Vickie's marriage on so soon? Ugh, the scene at the end where they were making out in the middle of the ring sounds like quality television too

Announced last night that Cena will face JBL in a "New York City Parking Lot Brawl" at GAB. While I'm not a fan of the fact that Cena-JBL has been going on for ages, and both of them need something fresh to do, this should be an interesting one. They've not done a Parking Lot/Bar Room/Boiler Room Brawl for a while, and Cena & JBL's last Street Fight type match, their "I Quit" Match at Judgement Day 2005, was top notch.

Looking forward to SmackDown tonight, incidentally. Should be a good show.

Hey, how awesome is this? There's an ad for the Great American Bash at the bottom of this page! How does that happen? I never knew Google Ads was that advanced, that it knows this is a wrestling thread so it sticks the wrestling adverts here. Cool.

EDIT: Oh, the ad's gone. I'm sure it'll be back.

It shows up in other threads. The ONS & NOC ones were there as well.

If Kane turns heel and is actually used properly ill watch WWE again.
That, and wearing his mask again. Some immature, childish factor draws me more to him in a mask. But then again we've already seen his (unburnt) face now so it might not be as good. What happened to those gimmicks...

Dammit, this week's SmackDown is taking ages to be posted up on Galaxia. It's been stuck on 4/9 for ages. I know the show hasn't been shown outside Australia yet, but still, it annoys me that I can't watch it yet.

EDIT: Aha! It's up on Dailymotion. Brilliant. :)

To be honest, I'm quite pleased by this - mostly because I totally didn't see it coming. However, I do think this will turn out to be a ploy by Vickie, just to hurt Edge the way he hurt her. It's all a setup for the return of 'Taker - Edge beats Triple H at the Bash, regains his title, all is well, wedding is going ahead as planned, then Vickie takes revenge on Edge, says "I don't", and brings back 'Taker to face Edge at SummerSlam.

Yeah, that would be awesome cool. But I don't think Taker's coming back yet. Or even at SS. I would be awesomely happy to be wrong.
