Gambhir doesn't have the power for that. Any such attempt and some old critics will start complaining about his temperament under pressure. We're talking of raw power and insane aggression. They can't afford to have their best batsman get corrupted by that.
Gambhir to get a big one today, I'm calling it

Sanath seems unstoppable, even against good bowling. They can't do much, only knock down the other end.

The big question is who can do a Sanath for India. He's been insanely aggressive, with at least one chance going down, and hitting India's best bowler for at least three sixes. At least one for India has to do it, and it should be a joker in the pack- maybe Irfan or Uthappa.
Sehwag hopefully. If he fires (and Jayasuriya gets the Sri's to a big total) this game will go down to the wire.

Sanath loves ****ting on India. What a champion.

Thanks for dropping that catch RP Singh.
I can forgive the dropped catch, but not the tripe he proceeded to bowl to him straight after. Him and Irfan have put in as flat a "big match" performance as you'll find.

Sort of reminded me of the performance Zaheer Khan put in at the 2003 World Cup Final.

I hope so. When McCullum was in sight of 200 the other day I decided that I want Jayasuriya to be the first to do it.
that was against a crap team..

I would love to see a batsman getting it against a big team...

Here's the day for it!

They're milking Sehwag for singles, but Ojha is keeping it tight- and RP Singh makes another fielding blooper.

Not him. Too correct and careful a batsman for such an innings.
Don't know why we have to replicate like for like though. Gambhir's perfectly capable of playing a big knock at a good rate while guys like Sehwag, Yuvi and Dhoni provide the explosiveness.

It's whether we can hold our nerve chasing a big total which is key for mine.

Well said, agreed entirely.
