On the radio here today (Canberra)

NSW lost the SOO in controversial circumstances, after a NA pass was called forward. Replays showed it was a legal pass, and NSW had been robbed:laugh:

They had 20 attacking chances on the Reds line and could not score, but that one call late in the game cost them the match:-O

And I support NSW

Look, I'm still in a funk after last night.

Dunno why I said Christian - must have been thinking about his religious convictions!!!!

Out of interest, does anyone else here think that if Qld were to have a serious injury (and you don't wish that on anyone) then they were better equipped to deal with the loss of Prince than almost any other player, given Thurston's brilliance, Hunt's diversity and a ready made fullback on the bench in Slater?
Not particularly as I don't recall seeing Hunt at all in the second half at 5/8 doing anything in particular, but I do think Thurston may have dealt with it better than he did in the first game. Slater was also good coming off the bench. It's was NSW's game to lose in my opinion and they did it in spectacular fashion. I thought they were the better team, but why we kicked in the air to either wing at the end of every six near their line in the second half is beyond me. With Folau on one side and Inglis on the other the chances of us coming down with the ball at any stage were pretty slim.

The kick on the last play was a bad option with no NSW player any chance of getting near the ball.

It's absurd, one poor decision cost NSW the game apparently. Forgetting the fact their attack was rubbish for the other 79 minutes.

Nah, I reckon it was forward by half a metre or so. Didn't pick up on it at first, but the replay convinced me. As you said though, it probably sounds biased.
No chance. By that stage though they only had themselves to blame for being behind anyway.

I wouldn't say they had themselves to blame rather then a few specific players being Braith Anasta, Paul Gallen and Anthony Quinn. Was there last night and Quinn dropped that ball right in front of us. Bellamy is the fhittest coach marking Quinn on Folau, Monaghan was the ideal choice there.

Techinically we could say both teams attacks were rubbish with one try apiece from running the ball and the other two from kicks...

More than one poor decision cost NSW the game, but I thought they looked the better team for most of the match. QLD were clueless for a while after Prince went off and didn't look like doing anything at all in attack either until Thurston got away. NSW were on the attack a lot, and yes it is their own fault they didn't convert it into points (and QLD's defence was good).

From a QLD viewpoint it probably was  I thought NSW played pretty well, if you take out the fact that we couldn't actually get the ball over the line...Although with 4 fights I don't see how anyone could view the game as anything other than a complete success!

Mate, they weren't fights. Origin players of yesteryear would be embarassed to see those little rough-ups described as fights.

Na look I'm sure it will be a blast. Was always planning to make the trip to Skilled at some stage. Might wait until next season now.
