Hmm, tough one this, tbh.
Spain have been by far the better team throughout the tournament, vibrant attacking play, electric movement up front, and a beautifully clever midfield, which retains possesion whilst always looking threatening. On the other hand their defence isn't great, and crucially they're Spain.
Germany have looked clunky at the back, been utterly outplayed at times, unlike almost every German side I've seen, have at stages looked ridiculously profligate with retention of the ball. On the other hand they've looked okay up front (Gomes excepted off course, and crucially they're Germany.
Also looking at Clapo's tips, if I'm to win I've got to go against him, which rather means all that bollox before means nowt.

Fittingly our champion wins it in style. A Torres first goal, Spain leading at the break & a one-goal Spanish win gives Clapo a magnificent 20 points for the final. The Spanish one-goal win & the Torres goal give NUFAN 14 points & second place and 8s for altoz and Threes secure third and fourth respectively. Vimes and grecian round out the six despite -6s for the day & headhunter's 12 (spot-on score & the Spanish win) net seventh. At the foot an 8 for SupaFreak lifts him above jammay into 18th.
Congrats to Clapo, a worthy winner & thanks to all who took part.
