And now NZ are going into six year old sulk mode without shaking hands.

Someone act adult somewhere please.

I don't blame them tbh. I hope Vettori has something to say at the presentations as well.

Will be intrigued to hear what Collingwood has to say.

Good to hear on both counts.

Haha, Styris MOTM, that's a joke though, after those 3 let-offs.

Found it impossible to access the forum for a while there.

Good to see the ice has been broken there. Colly was quite contrite at the post-match interview.

Was expecting some maturity on either side... good to see it now. Bloody difficult to say "I were wrong". At least hatchets are buried now.

Still, I look forward to McCullum's analogising of this with the Murali & Mpofu runouts.

It's not about how good the innings was though; it's about how much of a positive impact it had on the result. I'd have given it to Styris as well TBH.

"I tried to win the game without being entirely fair; now when others aren't entirely fair to my team I realise how annoying it is."

Would be an accurate summation methinks.

Collingwood had more then a split-second to make the decision.
The umpire looked to be asking him if he wanted to retract his appeal.

Anyway, it was good in the end that Collingwood admitted to making the right decision. Greg Chappell take notes.

The most mediocre side in history playing the dumbest side on the planet.

Will have to catch that run out, sounds like a big fuss over nothing.

Have always liked to view it as "best performance of the match" myself.

In either case, I'd have said Mills. Bowled OK then that knock.

I had this debate recently in another thread; I don't particularly want to go there again. :p
I respect your right to interpret it that way however I expect you to respect my right to my interpretation also.

Yeah I probably would have been happier with Mills getting it on reflection.

Collingwood and Vettori, top blokes I reckon.
Ummm yes Vettori is a top bloke

Collingwood will live with that decision for a long time. What a goof he must feel, he had the opportunity to do something genuinely good for the game and blew it. Will feel even more stupid given they lost. I know its hypothetical, but I really believe Vettori would have done the right thing in that situation.

As an England supporter I was pretty gutted to see the refusal to withdraw the appeal.

But both Collingwood and Vettori deserve praise for their words post-match. Styris says that Collingwood went to the NZ dressing room and apologised. That's a big thing to do. Vettori also apologising for the NZ behaviour on the balcony was also good. I feel a bit more warm and fuzzy now...
