17 June, 23.00, ARG, 1st leg, grp 1: Antigua and Barbuda vs Cuba (Cuba should be favourites here, having nearly qualified for the third round in their last qualifying and with a couple of good performances at the Caribbean Cup in recent years.)
18 June, 21.00, Trelawny, 2nd leg, grp 2: Jamaica vs Bahamas (aggregate 7-0)
South America
17 June, 22.00, Montevideo: Uruguay vs Peru (Peru are yet to win, and their last away match was a humiliating 1-5 in Ecuador. They will take consolation from their last meeting, on neutral ground in the Copa América, where Peru won 3-0.)
18 June, 20.10, La Paz: Bolivia vs Paraguay (Paraguay are on menacing form - well, if you exclude friendly losses to Honduras and South Africa. Only one goal conceded in five qualifying games though. Meanwhile, Bolivia have scored three in five games, yet it was Bolivia who won 2-1 when they last met in La Paz.)
18 June, 22.20, Quito: Ecuador vs Colombia (Ecuador earned a draw in Argentina a couple of days ago; before that they had 0-5, 0-5, 5-1 in three games! So rather up and down. Colombia are third after going unbeaten, though they've scored less than a goal a match.)
19 June, 00.50, Belo Horizonte: Brazil vs Argentina (this is the big one. Brazil played a second-string squad against Paraguay, and the axe will surely hang over Dunga if his team loses here. Argentina, meanwhile, are sitting prettily in second with their squad full of La Liga stars.)
20 June, 00.00, Puerto La Cruz: Venezuela vs Chile (table neighbours, though it's Chile who have struggled to get the points recently. Hugo Chavez spent a fair few millions on the new stadium here - it's a bit of a backwater tbh. Got an oil refinery though.)

Yeah, not sure I'd introduce a whole new tournament right next to the World Cup though to avoid that though.

20 June, 00.00, Puerto La Cruz: Venezuela 2-3 Chile (Chile ran out deserved winners, despite handing away a 1-0 advantage; injury time goal from Humberto Suazo sealed the match.)
Bolivia and Peru, IMO, are out of it already. Brazil will surely make it. Paraguay need to get their act back together.

Yeah, they're yet to play Bolivia, Venezuela and Chile in the first half of the league. First two should be easy three points, in saying that they dropped points in Peru back in November. But they were in a similar situation back in 2002 (fourth going into the last game with a point on Uruguay) and ended up winning.

Next game is a double-header with New Caledonia in September. If they get at least two draws or one win from those games, then beat Fiji, they're through.
Apparently they'll play both matches against Fiji away, because the Fijians were turned away due to visa problems back in October.
