Not sure if announcing his appointment (scolari) in the middle of a major tournament is the best course of action tbh....could have a negative impact on the portugal team...

He was never three games away from a Treble. The league was never in their hands.

Big four clubs don't always challenge - Liverpool are the best example of this (in fact they never challenge, tbf). I think personally that with their lack of harmony, had they made a worse choice than Scolari they could easily have been third or fourth and off the pace next year.

No but they were ready at first slip if we fumbled it, which tbf, we were doing our Matty Prior impression behind the Premiership wicket.

With the appointment of a world class manager in Scolari, bookmakers have reacted by shortening the odds to 6/1 of Chelsea beating Barnsley in the FA Cup this year

If Chelsea had beaten Man U away they would have won the league.

They have a better squad than Liverpool and are quite literally invincible at home. I think the worst they'll do next season is come 3rd.

And similarly, if we'd beaten them away we'd have won it by more. That argument is no better than the Scousers saying that if they'd beaten us home and away, instead of lost home and away, they'd have finished above us. Well obviously, but they didn't.

They have a significantly better squad, whether they'd have kept it together is a different matter. They are also not "quite literally invincible".

Those are all true...what's your point? Mine was that if they'd won 3 games they would have done the treble. This is factually accurate. I'm not sure how you could disagree with that.

Ahh, the Carling Cup, the joy of being in it, Stick the Fa Trophy up your arse, 10am tomorrow.

Yeah, 16th for the league, I'm already tense:)
I'm childishly excited. Reading, away, will suit from a selfish view. Or the Saints.

I'm saying it's an irrelevant point that doesn't hold a lot of weight, despite being factually accurate (I initially misunderstood you).

Saints at home, only better draw would have been the Cornish Scum. So I'd say I'm happy:)

Grimsby away, dire

How come you lot refer to Plymouth as Cornish? Is it just like when I call Jester Welsh
