Here is his statement trying to mis-represent my post, where it was fairly obvious that I was talking about the pace competition. He is the source that mis-represented my opinion and knowing him through this forum, I think he did so deliberately. Since putting him on ignore, he has taken a lot of potshots, but I have ignored them so far. Not this time.

Lastly your own double standards are appalling. You continue to miss everything that Richards says, I caught you doing the same in the SS thread the other day and you gave some excuse and here again you dont say anything to the instigator who keeps following me despite knowing fully well that he is on my ignore list.

Usually I am the first one to admit my mistake, but not this time. Go ahead and do what you want to, I just couldn't care less about your threats or your warning.
How about you just add Prince to your ignore list? You have a habbit of using it constantly. Do you have half the forum on ignore?

Last sentence is fairly empty, if you didn't care you wouldn't be such a little drama queen about it.

His post was hardly a potshot. He misunderstood what you said and disagreed with what he thought was your point. That's hardly justification for what you posted, particularly given you weren't even addressing his post at the time.

Anyway, I have no intention of getting into a silly argument with you about it. I've warned you about this and whether you like it or not, or indeed whether you care or not, it has gone on your record. You don't have to take it on board, but if you continue to go about things the way you have and show the disregard of moderator warnings you've just indicated you might, you'll find yourself banned. That's not particularly close at the moment as you generally contribute well, but it's my job to warn you when you cross the line. Again, you may not care, you may not agree and may not respect my position, but that's not relevant to what will actually happen.

I don't want to derail this thread any further so I won't continue with this conversation here, but feel free to challenge my decision and then tell us all how little you care anyway once more if you must.

Without wanting to "derail the thread" further :p you can't put Mods (of any forum, not just GMs) on ignore. Just so as you know that.

''welcome to my ignore list '' is the most childish /ridiculous statement i found here in CW .People may say some thing in the spur of the moment ,quite natural it is ,different people ,different opinions ,that difference is the essence of these discussion forums .

Some people are just so charming others not .For example Richard is so charming ,and i am not :p

PS : If some one is constantly abusive he /she should be banned thats all.

Getting judgmental on an Internet forum ? And you call others childish ?

Tell me what is better - Getting into silly arguments with people whom you just can not agree with no matter what or just ignore them. And no it is not just spur of the moment thing esp my discussions with Richard because both of us couldn't stay away from replying to each other until I finally decided to ignore him. TBF, I didn't want to continue that discussion mainly because it was disturbing the forum environment (I was equally responsible for that).

Telling them that 'Welcome to my ignore list' doesn't necessarily mean that they are on my official ignore list, it is just that their post will be ignored by me.

No, it just means that I am unable to stop myself from getting into a debate which is a. not going to get anywhere b. going to get ugly c. derail the thread 4. unnecessarily cause inconvenience to other members who have nothing to do with it.

It reflects badly on me as well, so no, I am not judging the member, I am only judging myself and trying to do my best to keep the forum atmosphere healthy.

Hopefully that is clarification enough for you, If you still feel it is childish, immature or judgmental then so be it.

hmmm. I am not so sure of that. Sometimes one may do that to avoid getting into an argument one would prefer to avoid but cant because some people specialise in provocation.

I would be happy if such people put me on their ignore list ideally :)

Peter Moore?? Anyway, I think that Glenn McGrath is the better bowler of the two. I, being an accurate medium pacer looked up to him, and still do. I think that the one quality that Glenn has/had over any bowler in world cricket is that he always is/was hitting the perfect line and length therefore making him one of the best, if not the best bowler in world cricket. Imran Khan, on the other hand..... well I don't know much about him but he surely cannot out class such a master of accuracy in Glenn McGrath.

International Debutant
McGrath

Akram vs McGrath would have been close with Akram slightly ahead in my book
