I would be very concerned for the fate of the North Korean team had they lost to South Korea.

They lost to them a fair bit recently in East-Asia Cups. The expectations of North Korean side to quaifly or just beat South Korean is more hopeful then expected. These days there is more focus and expectation on Women's football in North Korean then Men's.

Iraq suspended from international competition after the government disbanded their football association.

Not sure what this implies - for one, it can be overturned by tomorrow if the Iraqi government reverses their decision - but I would think all results against Iraq are cancelled.

Nah Iraq came out to play and pushed our defence pretty hard. Lack quality finishing and after the first half they ran out of legs a bit. They could have been 2-nil up by half time if they finished better.

Gutted to only beat St Vincent 5-1 and give up a goal at that. Marlon King looked awesome though. Expecting at least 15 goals over both legs against the Bahamas. Helps that both are being played in Jamaica since no Bahamian staidum is of the required quality for this stage of qualification.

Just wondering and I know Hak is the man who will know all of this, now that Kosovo is independent, is their any chance they will have their own team along the same lines of what happened Montenegro gained independence from Serbia and they have their own team? I will say this is that is becoming too bloody hard to keep up with all of it when they keep breaking up into countries all the time.

In Euro 2000 it was Yugoslavia and now they are 3 countries (and probably more, my geography is a bit haywire ATM) with 8 years.

Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Hercegovina...Kosovo is the 7th nation to come out of Yugoslavia. And there's possibly more to follow

Surely the only thing that can break up now is Bosnia, and even then the Serbian part will just join up with Serbia again. In any case, there is only three nations out of the Yugoslavia that competed in 2000: Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo.

Kosovo might not be allowed to join FIFA, as it's not a universally recognised state - there's only about 45 nations that recognise it. An analogous case is Western Sahara, which is not a FIFA member.

One result today, from CONCACAF: Honduras beat Puerto Rico 4-0. Return leg on 14 June.
