We Jericho fans tend to get riled up with his position on the card, but seriously I don't think Jericho cares anymore. He's around 35 or 36 years of age, been wrestling for more than 20 years, and achieved pretty much everything there is to achieve in the profession. I also think after so long in the business he has the energy to really go backstage and pollitick for his position.Oh FFS, looks like the HBK/Batista angle is back on, and its been kickstarted by Y2J jobbing to Batista on RAW, just ****, again the crowd were mega behind Jericho and gave Batista loads of heat, but yet the E put Batista over as a face, oh ****ing hell, so annoying, ****.
He doesn't strike me as being egotistical or power hungry either and seems to just care about entertaining the fans. From all the interview's he's given he always gives the impression he doesn't care what spot on the card he's in and he certainly doesn't seem to care whether he's going over or not. All he wants to do is make sure his match is the best, and his segment is the most entertaining.
I'm a firm believer that you have to really get into people's ears and rally if you want the top spot. People like Booker T, Christian and Chris Jericho have all been team players. They're always more interested in having the most entertaining match, making the other person look like a million dollars and seem to be more concerned about whether the company or the show is doing well as a whole.
Your Hogan's, Flair's, Michael's and Hunter's sure can learn from this. But this is why people like Booker T, Christian or Chris Jericho never got anywhere near what they could've been. Not everybody is a politician, some people are entertainers.
