State Vice-Captain
End of Over 20: 197-2, runrate=9.85
Pead 4-0-27-2
Kemp* 5 (3 balls)
Kepler 107 (58 balls)

Last Wicket: Mclean b. Pead 65 (FOW: 192/2)

Very happy with that total - Kepler continues to go from strength to strength :)

I will play u if u want PY?
Challenged at mine, seems more friendly for you in time terms. Won't be playing full strength, less you want me to.

Still can't arrange BT20 friendlies, winding me up a little.

Two new divisions for me, going to be a massive season, not sure how we are going to cope. But we will learn alot about our players this season

OD League (II.2)
1. New Model Army - Probably good enough to play Division One, but still need sort a couple aspects of their side out.
2. Camel Toe CC - Again good enough to play D1, in their in FC. So the four bots during the season could give them the edge for the title
3. Dark Side Of The Boon - Probably have one of better bowling attack in Sri Lanka. Still lacking a bit in batting to make a real charge for promotion. Could beat them if my bowlers (Jeithoon) have a good day.
4. Karunya Hotspurs - Decent side on par, maybe slightly better then us. Will be one of sides I target this season
5. Jaffna Jets - gun
6. Mansfield Warriors - Another decent side. On paper a class above. But can be beaten, with a bit of luck. Again another side I will target this season
7. Leeds United - Probably the weak link of league. Have to make sure we don't drop a match against them.
8. kaiser chiefs - Former D1 side. Still rebuilding. They got some awsome players, but do lack a bit in depth. In D3 in FC, so they will probably focus just on ODs. Will target them, but might be hard with our likely PFLs issues v their decent PFLs.

FC League (II.1)

1. Hambantota CC - token bot
2. Wottonshire C.C.C - A decent side on paper, but can be beaten. Seem to be able to get the most out of their side though. Good bowling and depth in batting. Well built for FC
3. Wham Town - For former Sri Lankan champions. Back in I.1 this season, so hopefully they focus on ODs. Will be hard to beat otherwise.
4. july - No real stars, but got decent depth. Pretty well built for FC. Probably one of sides you have to do the double over though.
5. Rude Awakening - On paper a pretty strong side, but have generally been up and down as club. One good, season one poor season. Finished 2nd in ODs last season, so hopefully this is their poor season. Bowling attack has always been a tad weaker then batting.
6. Karunya Hotspurs - In my OD league, so see above
7. Bideford Haymakers - Got some decent stars in their side, but lack a bit in terms of depth. They knocked me out of cup, so hopefully we can get some revenge.
8. Jaffna Jets - Jeithoon to dominate until he gets called up into the NT side.

Plan is to go all out for the first 8 weeks and then pick and choice which OD matches to take seriously. Main focus will be on FC, as it is Top 4 or nothing. ODs will just try and come 5th or 6th.

A better team demoted into my OD division, so it looks again like I won't be promoting. I've easily got the weakest team in the new FC division, so I'll probably demote there. I'll concentrate on that though, seeing as I only have to play my A team against one team in OD.

BARNES OUT
Decimated Clapham today in a BT20 friendly but accidently played full strength. Coburn took 5 wickets but Conn was the star with 107*(65) and 3-1-11-4.

My OD league and recent OD ratings (top order/middle order, seam/spin):

1. Asterix XI - masterful/miraculous, masterful/masterful
2. Borderliners - masterful/wonderful, elite/masterful
3. NorCricket United - elite/remarkable, elite/quality
4. Twelfth Men - exceptional/wonderful, exquisite/miraculous
5. Badlands - exquisite/exceptional, exceptional/exceptional
6. Doobie Bombers - feeble/competent, feeble/useless (sold all their players)
7. Peters Utd - elite/strong, remarkable/remarkable
8. Bloody Americans - remarkable/strong, wonderful/exceptional

Should be a pretty tough season. Wasn't really happy with my bowling in the loss to the (now demoted) Mud Poodles in the final league match, so have sold Allott for about 8m and will be looking to buy a bowler to train. Aiming to win my FC league (which has four bots in it), though Mud Poodles might make it difficult.

Magrat Garlick

Rather Mad Witch
Got two relatively tough IIs. Some might say the strongest in WI.
OD:
Batletico
NYC
The Death Knights
Philly_Bluenose
Dynamo Morpork
AFI
Strong Arm Steady
Barrocon

FC:
Dynamo Morpork
Carib Beer XI
NorCricket United
Peters Utd
Inverts
Armchair Athletes
Doobie Bombers
Jolly Harbour

Anyone have a sensational bowler they could flog?

Finally a worse team than me gets relegated into my OD league. 4 seasons in a row I've finished 2nd (I think, there maybe a 3rd in there) and now there's a chance of winning the league; though there are three other teams who look as if they may challenge.

Got deliberately relegated to Div 5 in First Class, so I'm going to take that easy and rest my best players in that league.

Off to a solid, if unspectacular start against the Ponies. Quite proud of my openers who have survived 3 Canning overs.

End of Over 6: 25-0, runrate=4.17
Canning 3-0-8-0
Harris* 18 (20 balls)
Kanelo 7 (16 balls)

End of Over 50: 258-8, runrate=5.16
Erasmus 10-0-73-2
Yousif* 14 (11 balls)
Groves 5 (6 balls)
Last Wicket: Hamlin c. Terry b. Fernando 1 (FOW: 247/8)

Quite happy with that effort. I'll need an immense bowling performance from Verhoeven & Hamlin to have any chance of winning though.

1.5th XI Ground out a very unspectacular win against a team in Div VI. Bowled them out for 63 off 28 overs and then took 15 overs to get the runs with all bats set on 'very attacking'. Lost 3 wickets in the process, including the only decent bat run out for 0

Interestingly, was looking at promoting a youth player and went to the club info page only to find out I've 'already promoted a player this week'...I haven't promoted a player for about 2 months.

Because it's the changeover of seasons, you won't be able to promote a youth player until Tuesday or Wednesday. IMO you should be promoting a youth player every week though, you never know how lucky you might get.
