He is? FFS.

Ind33d, which is odd TSTL, he's always been such a woeful bowler. Wonder whether he actually has bowled better than usual or it's just been poor batting? My bet would be on the latter, so far.
Oi, watch your mouth. This is RTD we're talking about. I'll rephrase it for once but I expect better behaviour from you in the future, young man.

Rephrased as: he bowls tripe with a funny action but who are we, mere mortals, to question Him.

Thought you were atheistic. Typical buggers trying to have it one way when it suits and another when it doesn't.

I am an atheist. That's why I can freely use the religious idiom with not a chance of smite-ye-with-thunderbolt stuff

Forgot Andrew Miller tbh, former England u-19 fast bowler who left Lancs because he couldn't get in the seconds at OT
Just to emphasise this: currently, Lancashire's seam-bowling stocks include amongst the ranks:
Dominic Cork
Glen Chapple
James Anderson
Andrew Flintoff
Tom Smith
Kyle Hogg
Sajid Mahmood
Oliver Newby
Steven Croft
Steven Mullaney
Steven Cheetham
And there was Miller last season too.

That truly is ridiculous.

Prior remains a woeful OD batsman. If he ever plays for England again, I want it to be Tests and either a) never as a wicketkeeper or b) with a damn sight better set of wicketkeeping skills than he had last time he donnes the gauntlets.
Yea all he needs to do is become reliable with the gloves because his batting is very good order ATM.

Jayasyria not coming for the 20/20's and nantie hayward has signed as a kolpak for hampshire.
Haven't heard about the Hayward deal but Hampshire have signed South African all-rounder Rory Kleinveldt on a six month Kolpak deal. Rory apparently favoured the Rose Bowl for his a big fan of KP.

From what I've seen of him (twice live plus the three Dutch WC games on TV), he's just a 70mph trundler, like Ponting or Bell. From the figures he's been getting lately, he must have improved his accuracy by a fair bit or found some swing.
No, Ryan's quicker than that, bowls about 80mph's (+) and is quite skiddy. Also gets a decent bit of reverse, poor man's Graham Napier to be honest.

Yes had visions of Kent making in excess of 300 with the depth in their batting side. A bit much to ask for them to consistently make good runs down the order. Still a decent lead for you, should be game on, esp. if they get Tres early.
Game still on but we didn't get Tresco and are paying the price. We'll need early wickets tomorrow, although I think that Tresco and Langer aside, Somerset's batting is quite brittle. Hopefully McLaren will have another good day.

Oo-er, Lancs in a spot of trouble now, 114-6. I'd be interested to know when was the last time they lost to Derbyshire in any competition. Losing here would be almost as big an upset as going down to Scotland.

Going to the Kent game tomorrow btw.

In terms of the first-teams, it was 2002, in the National League. Coincidentally enough, Stephen Stubbings opened the batting and scored 98* then, and of course has scored 97* today.

Though they came damn close in 2005 in the Championship as they crept home by one wicket.

I'm ignoring Twenty20 here BTW, there might've been a reversal in that competition in that time. :)

Oh OK thanks for that, I agree about the Twenty20, just a glorified beer match for me.

They're still alive - just - but with over 100 still needed, I don't think even Derby would let the tail Wagg that much. :)

Aye, Derbys will be popping the Corks as they're Sutton the dressing-room benches, and there'll be a few people who'll be very Cross if they don't win this by a good margin.

Nah, half the team out injured at the moment, plus we haven't been too committed to one-day cricket over the last few years. The elusive Championship remains the sole focus really, then they'll have a bit of a punt at the Twenty20 mid-season.

But not a great start for us, no.

This
Code:
GG Wagg 10 1 34 2 3.40 (2w)
CK Langeveldt 8 0 48 1 6.00 (1w)
T Lungley 8 1 31 3 3.87
JL Clare 6 0 32 1 5.33
J Needham 6.1 1 42 2 6.81 (3w)
is a ridiculous set of figures. The bowler who is easily the best in the side has easily the worst figures. 8-) Games like that that make you question why you watch cricket.
