Didn't watch the game live, but it seems Sachin played a pretty good innings. Good to see him hit some form. Surprisingly he didn't hit a single six but still managed to make 60 odd in over 40 balls.
It was all class. Was cruising along until Uthappa came in and stole the show so to speak.

Oh and great ball by Gony just now. Poor old Jaques Kallis

I was more talking about sideshowtim's irrational hatred of anything Indian or anything to do with India or India as a whole. At first I thought it's just to stir some of us Indian fans up, but now I'm starting to worry a little bit.
Nah, not really. I like butter chicken. And I think Apu is one of the better secondary characters on the Simpsons. I just greatly dislike your cricket team.

Dunno what Aussies you've been talking to mate, but most I know love seeing India get belted too.
But they don't seem to dislike Indian's and all things Indian as much as you seem to. All is fair in friendly competition, but most of the Australian's I know are fair people and give credit when credit is due when India do well.

You could do well to broaden your horizons and learn something about the Indian culture. I promise you, we are much more than just 'butter chicken' and 'Apu'.

just got over MI's loss

silver lining ----> almost won it despite playing such dumb cricket :)

MI is probably the team to beat in this tourney .... if it make it to the semis then playing at Mumbai will give it a huge boost

Chennai vs B'lore

Kallis goes .... and Fleming drops a sitter

Must the same people always puke on the same type of threads? Guys, please make use of your ignore button instead of descending into this in every single thread. Or at the very least, just choose to ignore those posts that you know are going to lead down this path.

I highly doubt that.
You highly doubt that you are going to broaden your horizons or you highly doubt that all there is to India is 'butter chicken' and 'Apu'?

I'm not going to get into a battle with you, because there's no point in arguing with someone who's ignorant.

Here's a starting point for you though:

From an Aussie who's proud of his Indian heritage,

MB

(I'll just leave it at that and make no more mention of this)

Glad to see all the posters here can take a joke or two. Wouldn't kill some of you blokes to lighten up.

No Aussies in the Chennai/Bangalore game? Lol, it will certainly be a dud.

There is very little that's better than butter chicken IMO.

Look, I've seen the Jungle Book several times. That gave me a pretty good run down on the history of India...I don't need to read a Wikipedia article about it.

Silentstriker, you are having high expectations if you expect every one to ignore posts like this. Such posts are bound to create reaction from others.

Well that's the entire point, it's the only way he gets his jollies from the looks of it.

If you don't like a post for whatever reason (this goes for anyone), the best course of action is to simply report it. We take a look at every reported post, and if it violates any rules, we will take action.

Getting into a verbal contest, or even worse, returning insults/abuse simply makes your own case weaker, and does not help the forum or the thread. That's how threads end up being closed. Simply report and leave it alone, hard as it may be to do sometimes.

I noticed that no one (from any side) has so far reported any posts in this thread - sometimes the mod team gets in there too late, and it leads to problems that could have been prevented.
I agree that this is the ideal scenario. It wont always happen though as some one or the other will always get involved in flame bait and the like. This is not the first time sideshowtim has been involved in some thing like this and he is the one who has to be told to get his act together really, else it will go on happening as some one or the other will not follow the ideal way to react in such a situation.

Cheers.
