How Are You Doing On CM?

Personally, I've found that giving too many midfield players too much creative freedom isn't the greatest idea (like you've done with Ronaldo, Nani & Anderson). Arguably ended up with a less potent attack because of it.
Yip give Ronaldo lots but drop Nani and Anderson down.
Probably, but Anderson is my main attacking threat in the sense that he's scored most goals, from long range, and strings through loots of balls to the forwards. Probably to normal for him and Nani then wih Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez on high. Also, have the rest of the team on normal except the central defenders. Also changed my defenders crossing to mixed instead of deep since that's probably why they're not overlapping.
Safely achieved promotion from National in my first season with Clermont which should ease our financial woes, but just lost a game leaving me three points behind Laval with two games to go. We play each other at my place on the last day of the season, so it looks as though I'm going to need to win both my remaining games to win the league.
Nothing better than having it in your own hands.

Should still be able to achieve that with Forward runs, long shots and direct passing for him. Creative freedom doesn't have much to do with what you've listed there.

I think I read something that creative freedom referred to how far they'll stray out of position to look for the ball and do something with it, could be wrong, but yes, it doesn't have a lot to do with long range shooting and stringing balls through.

I dunno, in my FM08 United game I was pretty successful in the long term with three players stuck on maximum creative freedom (AML, AMR and AMC), and the rest on none.

You could win the league as Man Utd playing 1-2-7 tbh.

Yeah thats pretty much correct, the amount of creative freedom refers to how closely your players will follow your specific instructions and their general movement on the pitch, apparently it doesnt really reflect the amount of skills/tricks/outrageous passes/shots they make.

Ah time for the new season details, been given £21.5m to build a squad to avoid relegation. Interestingly if i promise the board the title, they'll give me £38m. Sunderland have way too much money.

Well yes, this has always been my argument as to why LLM is superior, however it just pissed me off on 08, got sacked for getting promoted (ie board had to upgrade the stadium, or at least they chose to, costing money, got sacked for poor finances). So just decided to play as United. And tbf on my game Arsenal are a consistent force for 90+ plus points a season to challenge (Pat Rice is now their manager, Wenger went to Barca).

Wenger just disappeared in my game. I assume Ferguson and him just retired.

Btw, LLM by so far it isn't funny. My Huddersfield game in CM01/02 still rests as my favourite ever. Loaned Fowler from Leeds when i was in the then First Division, haha.

On my group in Serie C Cup, my team which is the one of the best in the league on paper is still giving me heart attacks.

Haven't had time to play my newcastle game

just before my pre-season I signed
Jefferson Farfan
Duda (Sevilla, Transfer Listed)
Kasper Schmeichel

I think I can do well with these additions

Cracking end to the season. I drew my penultimate game away to Martigues 1-1, whilst Laval threw away a 2-0 lead at home to Toulon only to end up drawing 3-3. On the last day of the season, I scored in the 3rd minute against Laval and the rest of the game was a really cagey affair with us holding on for the win and winning the league with +1 better goal difference.

What really annoys me is that Messina bid £1.8m for Doudin and the chairman accepted it - yes, we've been dodgy financially, but going up to Ligue 2 helps massively and Doudin could have been the key to winning us a double promotion. As it is, I now need to find two goalscoring strikers as Doudin has gone and Carlier, who was my top scorer, was on loan from Strasbourg and has gone back. I've put in an offer to loan him again for the season but can't guarantee they'll accept :@
