Well gave it a bit of a trashing today, MEN estimates 200,000 of the buggers, think thats a bit high. Trouble helped by the fact one of the big screens didnt actually work.....

Head of Manchester Council saw his arse at Tesco, were selling discounted crates of beer by stacking them in the doorway at 6am..... Nice to see big companies putting the community before profits. The guy marched down there himself and ordered them to be moved, good to see a councilor getting off his arse and doing something. Could cost Tesco its alcohol licence in the city centre, as they got a roasting for doing the same during the world cup, now that would be funny.

Ferguson won't sell Ronaldo unless Ronaldo tells him he wants to move. United spent £20m on Anderson in the summer, so money doesn't look like a problem

Tom Halsey

International Coach
In all fairness, £100m for anyone is ridiculous money... we could get world class players in each of the positions where we need strengthening with money left over for that.

That said, I don't think money is a problem anyway, so I still wouldn't sell him.

turns out the rangers fans did smash up Manchester pretty bad, disgraceful really, a failing TV screen doesn't warrant the destruction of a lot of property and stabbing of russian fans, ridiculous.

Bound to be trouble, they were bad enough when a few thousand of them came to PP for a UEFA Cup about 10 years back. My only European game to date that. Mind you, they were palying a side from ireland...

In my experience of going to Old Trafford it wouldn't be too hard to get a knife into the ground, or any sort of small weapon. Is it any different at the CoM Stadium?

probably wouldnt be hard in any stadium tbh, it would take waay too long to search everyone, though I think there are restrictions in most stadiums at taking bags/luggage etc... beyond certain points, though I wouldnt quote me on that.

Thank goodness i'd say City's home stadium isn't at maine road anymore it would have disaster around my school this week. Not surprised at what the rangers fans did though when i was in the hood or the ``chav depository`` as it commonly called 8-) when FC Zenit & Rangers where training @ United's training ground the behaviour of some of the rangers fans @ the Tesco getting all drunk in broad daylight was funny but shocking so i knew City stadium had to really gear up for some serious fans.

Word, would expect the same type of tight security @ the City stadium OT although i have never been there to watch a game. I'm presuming local authorities probably understimated the kind of fans that where going to be in town.
