Nice one!!Australia to play Scotland in 2009 & Ireland in 2010!
"Cricket South Africa have requested for the postponement of the ODI matches and they would probably be held in October this year on dates yet to be decided," Inamdar who is also a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) board said on Monday upon his arrival from England. He had gone to assess the facilities of Ganzi Island, which has applied to join ICC.
Yep half brothers...Is there a Ganzi Island? I've never heard of it. It's the name of regions in Kenya and China, and a town in Gabon, but no island as far as I can tell.
And I assume Andy Kirsten is a brother of Gary and Peter, right?
2) Guernsey and Vanuatu apply for Associate status.

Doesn't know much about geography or English pronunciation either.Kirsten releases coaching strategy
Just cause the guy this newspaper clearly doesn't know jack about cricket I thought I would put in this except
Shall be interesting.Australia to play Scotland in 2009 & Ireland in 2010!
Well Because the WCL is supposed t give the teams involved regular cricket against similar strength opposition the length is just fine howevere I do agree that they need to move the World Cup qualifier to within 6 months of the World Cup itself.Hi friends, I have a serious topic to discuss -
Don't U think the structure of World Cricket League is too long? As I was looking at it some teams which won in 2006 are playing the global league in 2008, isn't that strange? How do u expect a team to be in the same form?
I feel instead of 4 years it should be reduced to 3 Years. Structure for example after 2007 Wc to 2011 Wc:
2007: World Cup Ends
2008: All Regional Tournaments (Asia, Americas, Africa, Europe & EAP) Start - End.
2009: All Global Tournaments Start - End.
2010 Jan: 2011 World Cup Qualifiers.
2011: World Cup
no because, it was said before it gives more games to the associates and even if the teams are the same if you have a good system then you can generally produce good teams over and over again...Hi friends, I have a serious topic to discuss -

each of the current odi nations only have their odi status until 2009 and if they dont make the cut they lose it, so lets say ireland don't make it well they are out of the table and Zimbabwe moves up to 10...but the question is how many will get the odi status this time...since the money making indians cut the world cup to 14 teams...they should just keep it the top six teams get it still or even increase it to top 8 teams get odi status...and something should happen like every test members has to play their regional odi status team at least once every 4 years and has to play x # of associates in 4 years...that wold be fair because right now they aren't really getting the games against the top dogs otherwise kenya would be better...test members have to play against all other test members well that's to realistic to include odi members too but given that they have to play this # of odi teams should be made a must...and it does have to be a full odi tour but just at least 1 odi...Well Because the WCL is supposed t give the teams involved regular cricket against similar strength opposition the length is just fine howevere I do agree that they need to move the World Cup qualifier to within 6 months of the World Cup itself.
Also on ODI status I do not think the ICC have figured out what they are going to do with it in the event one of the teams that gets on the Main ODI rankings fails to keep their ODI status for the next World Cup cycle. If this is not looked into we could end up with something of a farcial looking back end of the ODI rankings
In that case it has to be like this:no because, it was said before it gives more games to the associates and even if the teams are the same if you have a good system then you can generally produce good teams over and over again...

it does even have to be like that....it could just be like englan have to give the European associates 1 or 2 games every 2 years...south africa/zimabwe give some games to kenya and things like that to start with...and then all the country have to play say like 10 games against associates beside their regional one in 4 years doesn't matter who they choose to play...In that case it has to be like this:
Every country which tours England must play either Ireland, Scotland or Netherlands.
Which tours South Africa or Zimbabwe must play Kenya.
Tour to West Indies should include either Canada or Bermuda.
I am pretty sure Scotland can get on the rankings if they knck over either Kenya or ireland just once this summer.no because, it was said before it gives more games to the associates and even if the teams are the same if you have a good system then you can generally produce good teams over and over again...
