I am thinking of something which happened twice in 2005, not once before, not once after till now. What is it?
1. sjs - Is it something that happened on the field ? - yes
2. sjs - If yes, did it happen in a test match? - no (not in 'a test match' , but yes in test matches)
3. somerset - Did either (or both) of these two feats happen in the 05 Ashes? - no
4. sjs - Is it something other than what the players do viz batting, bowling fielding etc. - no
5. sjs - Does it have anything to do with umpires ? - no
Clue 1 : It's something to do with statistics.
6. sjs - Did the tests end in results ? - yes
7. sjs - Was England one of the teams involved ? - no
8. sjs - Did the matches take place in the sub continent ? - no
Clue 2 : The feats, though were results of many test matches, were achieved in 2 different test matches only...And the answers to questions numbered 3, 6, 7 and 8 have been provided based on those 2 test matches.
9. biased indian - Any thing to do with batsmen ? - yes

The wording of the question makes it sound like it's just happened "now", for the first time since 2005.
Not really...Then I would have said "happened twice in 2005, never before and never after until very recently."....But I said "never after till now"...which means it hasn't happened till now.

If something hasn't happen "until now", that means it must have just happened. However if something hasn't happened "up to now" then it still hasn't happened.:)

No, I think you're a bit confused...Anyways, now that I've made the meaning of the question clear to you, any questions/guesses regarding the same?

No I'm not confused at all, I'm entirely correct.
No more questions M'lud.
What's your problem?...I told you what I tried to convey through the question...Now, if the wordings are incorrect, the other members may face problems but not you since you know what I tried to say...

You are an Englishman. So you are supposed to know more about it than me...But here is what online dictionary says -

S: (adv) so far, thus far, up to now, hitherto, heretofore, as yet, yet, til now, until now (used in negative statement to describe a situation that has existed up to this point or up to the present time) "So far he hasn't called"; "the sun isn't up yet"
