Nope. Vaas>Sidebottom>Franklin>Zaheer>Johnson. If Johnson can get that darn cherry to swing into the right-hander he'll be top of that list no question. And yes Zaheer's bowling has been tops for the past year now so on current form he's top of my list.
Zaheer>Sidebottom>Vaas>Johnson>Franklin
Its out of the current players and judged on their whole careers.is thiis poll just current or all time?
You've missed the point. He stated that he voted for Franklin, but acknowledged Vass is the best left-armer. Lacking logic for mine, thus my questionBecause he wanted to. Same way you voted for who you wanted to.
I suspect he did so as to avoid Franklin getting say, 0 or 1 vote, and someone worse than him getting three or four. In short, he wanted Franklin to get a fair representation of how good he is in comparison to the rest. You've missed the point. He stated that he voted for Franklin, but acknowledged Vass is the best left-armer. Lacking logic for mine, thus my question
I don't think it has, at all. Zaheer, as ever, has looked better than he's actually bowled. He's nonetheless bowled better than he usually does, but the fact remains that Vaas has still matched him despite looking less threatening, and Sidebottom has comfortably outbowled him.And yes Zaheer's bowling has been tops for the past year now so on current form he's top of my list.
Zaheer>Sidebottom>Vaas>Johnson>Franklin
Franklin over Zaheer in recent form, eh?Nope. Vaas>Sidebottom>Franklin>Zaheer>Johnson.
Don't see that happening anytime soon as he's a dire Test bowler. His tricks just don't work, especially against settled batsmen, in that form and I'd hope that the selectors won't make the mistake of picking him for another Test.god i hope Tanvir is up that list soon.. love watching him bowl
For abso****inglutely no good reason, and in his place came Dilhara "Harmison" Fernando. And this is the Chaminda Vaas that was nearly dropped from the Test team 6 months ago.
I've based it on careers.Franklin over Zaheer in recent form, eh?
And this is the Chaminda Vaas that was nearly dropped from the Test team 6 months ago.
He was dropped. So was Shaun Pollock. The latter decision made some amount of sense; the former (as already pointed-out by sp713) really made none at all. You can't justify talking down a bowler because he was dropped through stupidity, any more than you can justify talking down someone because he was picked through stupidity (such as for example Imran Khan in 1971 and 1974).And this is the Chaminda Vaas that was nearly dropped from the Test team 6 months ago.
