what an understatement!!! .... i think he is one of the finest captains, if you would have seen his captaincy in domestics. he lead the only domestic team, B'bay, to a victory over Australians, he single handedly brought B'bay close to winning against ROI, which had many international players. His ability to motivate and influence others in the team is remarkable .... It isn't surprising that competitive some of the lower rated sides have been under him, be it that dud team India that he captained, the underdogs B'bay beating the Aus, etc
Mumbai Indians is a good side overall, what it lacks is quality bowlers from the domestics. a side with Jayasuriya, Tendulkar, Loots [Ronchi], Uthappa, Pollock, Bravo and Bhajji can't be a bad selection
Ronchi looked promising in the first game, he was only undone by a gr8 catch by Kohli. His keeping was pretty good. You can't call that a bad selection. Malinga has been injured so that obviously hurt B'bay plans. Malinga and Pollock opening would have been a cool combination. Bravo is the replacement for Malinga and that appears to be a good selection too. Loots has set the field on fire in the RSA T20 domestics from what I have read on this board
