Just had a bad day IMO. I'll back Ponting to turn it around. White's **** as a bowler though. Noffke at least looked decent when not facing McCullum.
Ponting's strike rate was 100 and he hasnt played in a month - let's face it, he's only here for the cash and probably doesnt give a toss whether he bats like that in each one of the few games he'll play

Bowlers are on a hiding to nothing with flat track and tiny grounds. A number of Macca's 6s were top edges that would've been chances on a normal sized groung, so you cant read anything into it

Hehe,

Yeah, nice to see the combination of Ganguly-McCullum-Ponting is countered by the thrilling one of Dravid-Jaffer-Kallis :(

Can't read into someone's mind, but I'd be disappointed if they had so little professional pride. Based on his body language, I'd say you're wrong though.

Sounds great, why don't we just all go home and play baseball...

Lollipop's opening combination almost makes me laugh, especially considering that they are chasing such a mammoth total.

Would he like to score a hundred? Yes

Does it matter if he doesnt? No

Have a look at the shot he played to get out - all or nothing

Again, I doubt you're right. Is he going to be like its an Aussie Test? No. But professional sportsmen tend to have a lot of pride and tend to be very competitive in any situation, let alone one with other international players. You're really doing a disservice to Ponting, I don't believe he'd have so little character. We'll see as the season goes on though. Ponting looks interested, even he is allowed to have a bad day with the bat.
