Have had a go at naming my team of the century, bloody hard to do! Centre's an fullback were tough as its difficult fitting all those great players in the team when they play the same positions.
Clive Churchill - Think he just shades it in here, not by a lot
Ken Irvine - Obvious selection, greatest try scorer in the history of the game
Graeme Langlands - Had to be in the team somewhere, was a better fullback than centre but still one of the best
Reg Gasnier - Greatest centre ever, no doubt
Brian Bevan/Eddie Lumsden - couldnt split them, Bevan was brilliant in England but Lumsden had an awesome record here
Wally Lewis - It's 50/50 between he and Fulton really, could put Lewis to lock but I'd prefer Wally in his best position
Keith Holman - Could have gone for anyone, didnt want to pick Joey, Holman did everything and was a trully great player, doubt anyone could argue with his selection
Arthur Beetson - He was what Rugby League is all about, true great of the game
Ian Walsh - Greatest hooker ever by some margin
Glenn Lazarus - Under rated in terms of greatness, was the dominant front rower in the game for 10 years.
Norm Provan - Easy selection, his record picks him no problems
Harry Bath - Never played for Australia but should have, pretty sure he will make this team
Johnny Raper - Legend of the game, picks himself, easy choice
Reserves
Bob Fulton - A shame we cant have 3 centres or 2 five eighths, he was next picked in both positions
Dally Messenger - The first superstar of the game, had to be in the 17 somewhere
Ray Price - Parra's great teams of the 70's and 80's deserves at least one player and Price was the leader of this generation, true hero of the game
Mal Meninga - The fact he only makes the bench goes to show how many greats there are in his position, was the most feared players of the 80's and 90's.
