CW Battrick Cup, season nine

ash chaulk

International Captain
Scored a 28 or something in an OD match as well, as well as this 40 odd. Doesn't always bowl too. So just presuming he is trainee all rounder. To score 40 odd against strong/strong and comp/fee and see out a few overs of remarkable you would think he a half decent bat.

Viveash favorites from here IMO.

EARLOBE

State 12th Man
Was going along nicely with my run chase, but just lost a key wicket.

End of Over 11: 77-2, runrate=7.00, reqrunrate=6.38 (325-7)
Talbot 6-0-44-2
Badenhorst* 42 (30 balls)
Kilkenny 2 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Law c. Brydon b. Talbot 20 (FOW: 73/2)

EARLOBE

State 12th Man
12.2 W Talbot to Kilkenny
Big nick and an easy catch for Attwood.

It's pretty much up to this partnership between Foyle and Badenhorst, I don't have much batting to come after those two.

It's interestingly poised, that's for sure. You're absolutely carving up the run rate, and Byron and Brydon aren't much chop in the bowling stakes for Kipper XI. The fact that it's a dry pitch should help Davies though, who's in good form at the moment

Hey hey! A couple of wickets for the Nuts which is a nice surprise. Lock taking them is an even bigger surprise, hope he takes a few more although with the players coming in it's unlikely.

End of Over 13: 63-2, runrate=4.85
Lock 2-0-9-2
Moodley* 1 (1 balls)
Abdul kadir 25 (39 balls)

Last Wicket: Taylor c. Howard b. Lock 4 (FOW: 62/2)

The only way we'll get Moodley out is to starve him out.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Turns out Toz forgot to set his orders. Should win (hopefully).

Vincent 6-0-32-0
Fordham* 53 (70 balls)
Wilberforce 52 (48 balls)
Last Wicket: Dhindsa lbw b. Mcintosh 23 (FOW: 66/3)

EARLOBE

The run rate is still going along nicely at six an over, hopefully this one will come right down to the last few overs like last weeks game.

End of Over 25: 155-3, runrate=6.20, reqrunrate=6.84 (325-7)
Davies 6-1-37-0
Foyle* 44 (49 balls)
Badenhorst 67 (61 balls)
Last Wicket: Kilkenny c. Attwood b. Talbot 10 (FOW: 91/3)

25.6 W Hamed to Allison
Thin edge which is nicely taken by Kepler.

First ball i see when i log in :( Oh wait, he cant bat.

26.4 W Prutton to Gravey
Gravey comes charging down the track and is comprehensively stumped. You could almost call that a run out!

Gravey goes soon after :( Wait, he cant bat either.

End of Over 27: 136-2, runrate=5.04, reqrunrate=1.74 (175-10)
Prutton 7-0-32-1
Hocking* 78 (64 balls)
Beaumont 2 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Gravey st. Kepler b. Prutton 0 (FOW: 134/2)

Hocking going nuts on a slow pitch.

This partnership is taking the game away from Kipper XI, I need a wicket soon if I'm to win this match

EDIT: And Badenhorst falls the next over for 103, so Male Models should still be able to close out the match, but the wicket gives Kipper XI a sniff

4 runs to get, 9 down, tailender to face 3 balls before my proper batsman gets a crack.

Edit: Knowles survives. What can Drummond do now...

Edit: Drummond gets a single off the first ball of the over. FFS.

Edit: Knowles goes next ball. Damn.

Tense, I need a wicket here given the rate at which Athukorala is striking

And the 47th over goes for 12 runs, Male Models should be able to close out the match from here
