Lee's a gun right now, but hes still got a bit of ground to make up if he wants to be considered as good of a Test bower as Akhtar in my book. The early part of his Test career was very, very disappointing.
But that's the point, isn't it? Akhtar did that then went missing for the rest of the, well, series. Tends to pick and choose which ones he participates in too. People have much respect for his ability but I don't think there' smuch respect for his attitude or longevity. I'm pretty sure that most Test bowlers, were they able to choose to play only when feeling at their absolute best, would have far better records too.can Bret Lee do this to a line up that quickly?

That was a fluke one ,other wise his average against Australia would have been better than 36 .Or in other words he was inconsistent .Not only against Australia ,against India as well .He didn't well against two best batting line up in the world .One odd performance here and there .And his fans tell those in the whole life .can Bret Lee do this to a line up that quickly?

Relatively better post by the Karachite standards but overall the best post in this thread so far (though contains Shoaib hate phenomenon in a hidden way) !Better Bowler = Akhtar
Better Attitude = Lee
haha hahaNo, no no.
Pakistan top 20 probably.
I'd give you Imran/Wasim/Waqar at their best but only just though. Not Fazal though, although being a great medium pace bowler of the Bedser/Mailey style don't think those style of bowlers would be such a wicket-taking threat in modern day cricket although they probably be accurate.Only 4 Pakistanis as can be considered better than Shoaib for my money.
Fazal, Imran, Wasim, Waqar. 2 of whom are unquestionably top-20 all-time material, and 2 others who very possibly might be.
Imran is an unquestionaby top 5(personally,I have no doubt that he's the best bowler ever) material,Wasim top 10,Waqar top 15 and Fazal top 20 for sure.Only 4 Pakistanis as can be considered better than Shoaib for my money.

U have to tell about the modern day batsmen with such a lack of techniques ,on a good day even sreesanth will look like Michael Holding..I'd give you Imran/Wasim/Waqar at their best but only just though. And AKhtar no comparison between Akhtar who ''convenietly play matches with a convenient spell of 3 overs and taking rest in the boundary lne ,or getting unfit and unavailable for the rest of the series ''with true greats who had played double number of matches than him .Just too unfair .
Bond, Flintoff (when fit), Warne, Steyn, Lee (ver. 2) have all been very capable of being destructive in a variety of conditions. While he was perhaps more destructive, they are all worth a mention. What a load of bollocks.
He tooks wickets against all oppositions in all conditions. He troubled pretty much every single batsman he came across - he made inroads where none others could, he tooks wickets when the whole team was looking up to him to do so.
Name me a bowler (apart from McGrath and Murali) in the recent era who was similarly destructive in such a variety of conditions against so many different oppositions....
