Bowl well enough and you don't have to worry about attacking strokes early on.
Half the time they're not even attacking strokes, they're just pushes that hit the middle of the bat and race away for four.

I only ever play limited-overs cricket of course, but even so. Must be so annoying to bowl perfectly decent balls and see them constantly go into the outfield, often for boundaries.

Broad takes a catch, MSP gets ANOTHER one. Should've had Patel earlier mind.

Would not bet against it
Just wish Sidebottom had got 9-for in the first-innings. :@

Hope Vettori gets a n\o. Southee demoted on his Test debut, gotta be guttin'.

Martyn, if we don't finish it by Lunch, stay up, it won't be very long after that. Martin can't bat, and Southee looked hopeless in the first-innings so we can't be expecting too much from him I imagine.

Anderson still going for boundaries.

chalky

International Debutant
If you don't mind me asking chalky, how old are you? Have often wondered, and have often got the impression you're a few years above most of us, but if you remember 1990\91 properly I think you're a bit older again than I'd imagined.

Also, is your "chalky" based on Craig White?

I'm 28 mate - The chalky is what my mates call me (aparantly I'm the palest man alive). I use it for the all the forums I post on.

Next session doesn't start til gone 12 though and I have to be up at 6 and I struggled getting up today

I will see. This sounds tragic but there have been times in this series where I have struggled to sleep through wondering about the cricket score. Dreamt about it at times as well

Anderson still looking ****e fortunately, Would of been annoying if he'd cleaned up the tail. Think it's tatty-bye for now. I also think there's a decent option to replace him, a young un named Hoggard.

Norwood's on Fire
Knowing the English selectors, they'll replace him with Harmison. Mind you, he might have actually gone for less runs here.

Well there's ITSTL, Koertzen calls dead-ball cos he wrongly thinks Vettori's pulling away.

 and Vettori gone!

Well it'll now finish when the last wicket falls, and that should be any merment. Just hope and pray Anderson doesn't get it.

Sidebottom does indeed get MOTM, surely POTS beyond dispute too.

Southee and Martin must be the worst pair I've seen bat together since Mullally and Giddins.

He says as Southee whacks MSP for a six.
