Like Ross Taylor, Mark Gillespie and Jeetan Patel? Or is Taylor a traitor?

BTW - surely even you rate Gillespie and Patel > O'Brien?
Gillespie's from Wanganui. Noting Huttish about that. Jeets... I think he's from one of the Southern Wellington suburbs and although Rossco's from the Valley, he's CD through and through these days.

And only Gillespie bears comparison with O'Brien and I'm far from convinced that Gillespie's a better bowler, as a matter of fact.

Having watched Australia field like they did in the ODI against India this morning, I hope England take their fielding to another level today. Good, sharp fielding really can set the tone for the bowling side, and I'm looking at players like Collingwood, Pietersen and Bell in particular to be right on top of NZ, giving them nothing easy and making them earn every run (tight bowling of course helps here),
Clarke and Symonds were awesome in the field, throwing themselves around, combining well, and forcing opportunities for run outs that left even Mark Nicholas struggling for superlatives!!

I'm up to see at least the first hour and presumably on Friday night most of the action - hope for a good one :)
I can see that (except WK) the England team is pretty much the same as last summer.
How is the pitch? Last time I checked there were drizzles in Hamilton.

Interesting that Nasser Hussain is saying exactly what tec has been saying for a while; Strauss' problems being technical where some think they are temperamental.

Bell batting at five is good for mine, too.

Well, interesting developments now - RGD Willis replaces Paul Allott on the Sky commentary-team!

You prefer to take maximum risk?
I no longer gamble but always make your calls before the first ball is bowled. Many a time I have waited for the first over or two to be bowled and seen top orders shattered and subsequently all the value gone.

I'll wait and see how much it swings, then make that call.
Well, Sidebottom given the 1st over, and plenty of inswing from the 1st ball.

Let's hope it leads to some early inroads.

How takes 1st strike, hincidentally.
