God yes, Matt Hardy. Love him so much, been one of my very favourites for a long time now. Can't wait to see him back.

Yeah I read something about that a few months back, not surprising they sued tbh.

A lot of those laws were actually really good lol, funny and true for the most part, the "if you are on smackdown and have a problem with teddy long, you better be ready to wrestle the undertaker" one is so so true, but yet i've never realised it really beforehand, but pretty much every heel gets this at somepoint, complaining to teddy long, and then being put in a match with the undertaker.... In the last 2 years i can remember it happening to mark henry, helms, MVP, kennedy, edge, and i'm sure there are many more as well...
Yeah, that's an amusing one. I love this one: "2/3rds of the nation's police budget goes to flanking a wrestler and/or owner, then in turn incarcerating the wrestler who dare stand up to them. This is clearly more important than fighting non-wrestling crime."

"-No matter what you've seen or been told, WWE is not aware that there is a Cruiserweight Title, even if the same guy has tried to convince everyone he's had it for a year."

Was probably my favourite

-If Hogan starts shaking his fists, don't hit him again, just walk away.

Haha yeah, I love that one, just conjures up images of someone (probably Randy Orton or someone else who's been equally unhappy at doing the job) just hitting him, him trying to Hulk up, and them just thinking "**** this" and walking off.

RAW from last night looks pretty decent, nice to see Carlito picking up the win and going into the MITB, looks like a Y2J heel turn could be in the works after Jeff Hardy attacked him during the highlight reel, which is a shame in a sense, as I would rather see Y2J as a face, and getting the push that Jeff Hardy is, but as long as he has some meaningful involvment I dont mind particularly, will watch on thursday.

Yeah, I'm in two minds about the whole Y2J thing. On the one hand, I prefer him as a face too, but if turning him heel gets him more TV time then so be it.

Glad Carlito's in MITB too, but I'm interested to see who else they're going to fill it with. I think the breakup of Miz and Morrison is inevitable, so I see Morrison going in there. Maybe he'll even face Miz in a qualifier. Besides that, who else is there? I can see them reducing it back to 6 guys this year, seeing as they only raised it to 8 last year to incorporate Orton and Edge.

yeah in agreement regarding Y2J completely, there was no point bringing him back if all he's going to do is lounge around doing nothing.

Yeah could well reduce it I guess, it would have made more sense last year to have Edge vs Orton as a match rather than throw them in the MITB, but then I guess they want to avoid the heel vs heel thing. Not sure who they will throw into the MITB to make the numbers up, Jeff, Carlito, Shelton, Kennedy, Y2J is a pretty impressive line up as it is, thinking they might put Kane in there to make up the numbers? Or maybe Elijah Burke?

Yeah, Kane and Burke would work. I was thinking Tommy Dreamer at one point, but now he's got this tag team angle going on with Colin Delaney (a.k.a. Mikey Whipreck Mk. II) it probably won't be him. I can't think of any other guys who'd actually be remotely decent in a ladder match, TBH. Perhaps Charlie Haas if he was actually being pushed at all, perhaps Santino Marella if he ever got any ring time, perhaps one of London or Kendrick if they weren't being buried by a team of Not-Remotely-Hardcore Holly and a Default Create-A-Wrestler from SvR2008.

haha very true, in fact come to think of it he's never been hardcore in the slightest, he could never sell a chair shot well, or in fact even hit anyone with a chair well. As you say, there are numerous people who could do the job, but with most of them being buried or not getting the required ring time its perhaps not the best idea. Morrison is perhaps quite likely, he would be a welcome addition to the match, clearly capable of making a good show of it, as long as they keep the likes of Big Daddy V out of the match then thats the main thing. Mind you, if no ECW title matches materialises (which it quite possibly could do this week) then maybe both Chavo and Punk could easily end up in the MITB, mind you, i'd rather see Punk have a proper 1 vs 1 match and win to be honest.

Yeah, I'd like to see Chavo vs Punk on the card at WM. Extreme Rules perhaps, to end the feud for good. Obviously Punk would have to win. The bottom line is that Punk needs to be on the WM card - if there's no ECW title match I'd expect him in MITB. If Chavo goes in there it'll do nothing more than decrease the importance of the ECW title even further, he's already entered the Rumble as a champion which was ridiculous enough.

Morrison would be great, one of the most athletic guys in the company - his match against Punk when Punk finally won the title was my favourite match of last year. Got a big future.

Must say that I'm surprised WWE decidedly to severe all its ties with OVW, there is a large proportion of guys and divas currently on the RAW/SMACKDOWN/ECW brands who have spent time in OVW to improve their ring skills..

lol just had a look at their website as well, plenty of pics of Eugene walking around with their world title, come to think of it wasnt Rob Conway a 5 time champion there? or something like that? another that the WWE completely buried, not heard anything about him for ages now...

Eugene was one of the greatest wastes ever.

They're actually moving most of the talent (including the likes of Colt Cabana and Ron Killings) to FCW, so not much is gonna change except for the management. It is a shame though, so many good talents have come through OVW.

Conway has definitely been a multi-time OVW champ, and Paul Burchill has been too IIRC, along with many others. The John Cena: My Life DVD set has a match on it from OVW in 2002 between Orton and Cena, Orton's last match before progressing to the main roster - Orton playing the straight-as-a-die babyface and Cena playing the ****y, trash-talking heel. Oh, how times change. Decent match too, strange to note that Cena's spin-out powerbomb he uses to set up for the Five-Knuckle Shuffle used to be his finisher in OVW.

imo the one saving grace he has was the skit he did with the rock, but then again that was more the rock being awesome than anything to do with eugene.
Hahaha, you mean:

Rock: Who's your boy standin' in the middle of the ring right now?
Eugene: The Rock!
Rock: Who's gonna win the WWE championship on Sunday?
Eugene: The Rock!
Rock: And who is your favourite wrestler of all time?
Eugene: Triple H!

Yeah, that was great.

Eugene is a pretty decent in-ring talent, but he obviously got stuck with IMO one of the worst (and most offensive) gimmicks of all time, and was never given a fair shot. I hope WWE give Nick Dinsmore another shot under a totally unrelated gimmick.

Tbh I always thought Orton could have made a decent enough face, though I doubt that will ever happen now. After winning the World Heavyweight Title from Benoit he was getting decent pops, and HHH and the rest of evolution were getting Major heat for turning on him...but then of course that all disapeared once HHH decided to bury him and Orton then went straight back to being a Heel. And again I think it would now be very difficult for the WWE to turn Cena heel (though obvoiusly there would be loads of people who would disagree), I imagine if a heel turn ever does take place it will no doubt be along the lines of teh classic "I busted my ass for you fans every single week, and you repay me with boos, well no more mr nice guy etc... etc...." doubtful to happen anytime soon though I imagine.

haha that was a great RAW moment lol, probably the last time I was genuinely surprised at something happening on RAW, always great to see the Rock.

I remember one backstage segment they did involving Eugene and Cryme Tyme, it was around Xmas time and Cryme Tyme had been stealing various things (suprise suprise) and were trying to sell them as Xmas gifts, I think they had stolen Murdock's cap and Finlays Sheleleigh or something like that, and then they went on to say "does anyone want to buy some lovely pills?" the camera then cut to eugene who was rolling around on the floor screaming and drooling everywhere and looking for these (ahem) pills, which is clearly pretty vulgar lol, still made me laugh, though more through the fact that it was so un PC rather than the fact that it was actually decent comedy.

It's a shame about Cena really, I always thought he made a fantastic heel. His problem after a while was he was too funny, which prompted them to turn him face, and then gradually drop most of the humour from his gimmick. Bad call.

I think Orton's better as a heel personally, if you read the dirt on him that goes round then it's fairly obvious he's an absolute **** in real life, so it's usually easier for guys like that to work heel. Likewise, I prefer Jericho as a face because he's supposedly one of the nicest guys in wrestling, and a lot of the time, especially with long-standing gimmicks and characters, guys' real-life personalities can shine through their gimmicks quite a lot.

Until I watched Heartbreak and Triumph recently I always preferred HBK as a heel, 'cause I thought he seemed like a bit of a real-life pain in the arse - but having seen the documentary disc about his career, there's such a stark contrast between the opinion he has of his former self, pre-drug problem and religious conversion, and the man he is now, that it's hard to have anything but respect for the guy. He actually breaks down on screen at one point when talking about his drug problems, it's a pretty enlightening documentary which I would recommend to anyone.
