Simon just a few questions,
1. After watching last night do you think Chase Stanley could play a big role this yr that is in the starting 13?
2. What is Ben Te'o chances of starting for the tigers in round 1 same question goes with karl filiga (if greg bird was as five-eight).

My opinion:
I think darius boyd might be playing in the centres and michaels on the wing, i tip boyd for a big yr. Laffranchi to have another cracker of a season. Zilman to stand up for canberra this yr and for will chambers to start over ben mcdougall.

1. didnt watch the game last night, so based on that performance its hard to comment, based on last years performances I'd say he's a good chance of developing further and being a good player for the Dragons.
2. Te'o could be 50/50. Tigers have a lot of forwards that are similar in ability and stature and its not impossible that a young guy like him could be given a chance straight away to maybe cement his spot above Galloway, Gibbs and Heighington. As for the Sharks I'm not convinced that Bird will start in the 6 for them, they bought Blake Green to play that position and I think he'll get the first shot at it, plus i think their side has a much better balance with Bird in 13. Filiga is more likely to be a centre at this stage than a 2nd rower or lock as i mentioned in my season preview. He'll get a chance though somewhere.

Michaels is a much more natural centre than Boyd and I hope Bennett gives him a chance to play there, I think it's more likely we'll see Michaels in rep teams more often in the future and I'd like to think Bennett sees it the same way. As I mentioned earlier Laffranchi should make his origin debut this year and Zillman could be anything, depends how he comes back from his horrific injury he got last year. Also I hope the rumours about him going to the Titans arent true, would be terrible for the Raiders to lose both he and Carney.

Now that ogre mark o meley is at a new club and and starting fresh, taking into account he doesnt get injured do you think we are going to see one of the best props in the league again up with the likes of price, asotasi and petero? Back into to origin and maybe even a kangaroos jersey?

O'Meley was never that good imo, most people forget that when he was even picked in rep teams he was pretty much always on the bench, he might make Origin but I don't think he's that outstanding...

Yeah, I think the reason the Raiders held on to him is because they knew he was going to be picked up by another club. Would be a real slap in the face if he was to leave them, so soon after they gave him another chance.

Stanley looks like he has bulked up big time, but I think that since The Dragqueens are pretty strong in the centres he'll mostly play in the Toyota Cup. Is great in defence but his ball security seems to be a bit of an issue.

Hope not - I don't go for them!!

Pretty devastating player when fit though, and he's due some luck on the injury/ suspension front.

If the Cowboys keep injury-free, they'll go very close this year, imo.
