Ryder Abuses Hospital Staff

Was it Gatting who injured his hand in 1989 when he got out in a county game and smashed his hand through a dressing room window? Kind of reminds me of that.
Rings some sort of bell, but I'm not sure, as he doesn't seem to have missed much cricket that season (until his Rebel exploits of course). There was definately someone who did such a thing around that time, but I can't remember who or exactly when.

And on other news - Ryder's a pratt. I think we knew this already.

Heard a news report this morning suggesting Ryder was out at 1.30am the day of the 5th ODI. Not sure how much credibility the statement has though.

I think Ryder's playing the wrong sport. Shouldn't he be a rugby player?

Rugby league, tbh.
Both, in reality. Both sports are played professionally by people who by and large can be described as overpaid lummoxes with way too many people telling them how awesome they are, way too much free time and not enough intellect to do something constructive with it. Or at the very least, lacking the social graces to not be dicks to other people when they're wasting their free time.

The main difference is that the NZ media love to put the boot into the league players and either make fun of the rugby players and have a laugh at what hard cases they are (Tana Umaga and the handbag), or sympathise with them (that poor soul Norm Hewitt and his battle with alcohol).
