Dead Badger

State 12th Man
Shaping up to be really interesting today; Oleary took out my opponent's star player (a 72k BTR batsman) with his third ball, which was pretty much essential if I'm going to stand much chance of winning this. No more wickets since, but the run rate is low. Very evenly balanced at this point, I'd say.

End of Over 7: 20-1, runrate=2.86
Oleary 4-0-11-1
Ocarroll* 14 (15 balls)
Whalley 6 (24 balls)
Last Wicket: Hamed b. Oleary 0 (FOW: 0/1)

And that's the end of the match. Scaly Piscine CC won by 9 wickets.
Crunchie 85-10
Scaly Piscine CC 87-1

Scored those 87 runs inside 10 overs, so will get a NRR boost of over 7... Not that I want to promote, want to camp towards the top end of a division in OD while I get all my main players up to strong/superb stamina and can concentrate on replacing the fillers in my side.

Not sure I've got the batting depth to chase this, tbh. Oleary missed out on a third five-fer thanks to a crap last over.

End of Over 50: 247-9, runrate=4.94
Oleary 10-0-60-4
Gauhar* 1 (4 balls)
Derry 25 (20 balls)

A highly gratifying and not-really-expected victory for the Beards, Oleary and Pead taking four apiece, and Platt providing most of the runs with a fine 129. Sherbet dip-dabs all round.

And that's the end of the match. Beard XI won by 7 wickets.
The Red Devils 247-9
Beard XI 251-3

End of Over 46: 251-3, runrate=5.46
Boyd 7-0-38-1
Alshaun* 6 (5 balls)
Janes 35 (20 balls)

Thought I'd lose this one alright, might have won if I GFI'd. No worries though.

Great performance today against a side about my sort of level.

We Hate ManU: 65 (23.4) Prutton 5/8 (5), Woods 3/20 (7)
The Heath CC: 69/0 (12) Caldwell 34* (32), Mclean 33* (41)

The Heath CC win by 10 wickets

The bowling performance was awesome, considering we were playing on a H+F, albeit in cloudy and humid weather. Prutton took 6/29 in a friendly on Sunday, but this was his first competitive 5-fer, taking his tally of OD wickets to 11 in four matches at an average of 7.18.

WHERE WERE YOU AT THE START OF THE SEASON!

Decision time, train or not, can make room for 2 bowling nets, and a fielding net at some point next season. Isnt that close to proficient, but i really do need a 5th bowler, well a 4th to be honest, but i dont think that a comp-med is Div III material. Fairly sure i will train him, just want to know what others think.

5 or 6 nets needed to do justice to that talent, itbt.
Yeah probably, but i really only want him to get to wonderful or exceptional bowl, and i dont really want to train an allrounder at this point in time, too many nets for only long term gain, as he would be useless for 2-3 seasons.

In retrospect I could have gone for a wicketkeeper-batsman and still come up trumps, but hey, that spot is already filled and the team's bowling has been a weak point in the ratings and so a trainee like this is just what the doctor ordered:happy:

I would go 4 nets at the very least if your going to train him. 2 Bowl, 1 Bat, 1 Field or 3 now and fielding next season. Biggest waste of batting potential if you don't train it.

just created a player didnt use any its and he was terrible. battrick rating of 14......

whats the most its points you can bank before you have to use them guys?

Jamee999

You can bank as many as you want, but you can only take 100 into a new season. If you have more than that at the end of the season, the extra ones will be refunded.
